Join me and the increasingly popular Raina as we track down moles and books!

Welcome to Beyond Books where I usually discuss books from Book of the Month Club and beyond. My videos include unboxings, reviews, TBR lists and anything else "book-related" or "beyond". Today we are beyond - in the great outdoors hunting for bad moles and good books. Please consider subscribing and remember the most important story is your own - craft it well and always go beyond.

  • Looked like a beautiful day. Glad Raina had some fun too!
  • Hello! I was sent by @bookchatwithpat. I’m enjoying your channel very much and as a fellow dog lover I adore your cohost. ❤🐾

So pretty and looks so peaceful!! Raina is on a mission! 😂😂
  • Love your pooch. I also live with an ex-racer, rescue greyhound, & he really is the light of my life. He certainly saved my life. We are inseparable. What a lovely place you live in - an Elvin wonderland.
  • Raina is very determined! Wow! Terrific video! I’m glad there’s been a bit of a let-up in the heat so you could get out to the park!

My dog use to do that with moles. She heard them and then would start digging. dogs have great hearing.
  • Dogs appreciate owners who let them dig and sniff. Gotta get some of it out of their system.
  • Thanks for bringing us along! 😊 Raina is so cute on her mission. I don't know what it is about animals sniffing things, but it's so adorable. And very cool at the same time! I'm glad you could get to the park for a bit. I particularly liked how you talked about how you could fish there, and how there was a person fishing, and then all the signs saying NO Fishing! 😂 Maybe that was just on the bridge, but still hehe made me chuckle

Mid seventies?! I'm jealous - lol. The heat and humidity has bothered me more this year than I ever remember. Crazy hot! On my bimonthly trip to our local used bookstore, I picked up The Confession by Grisham based on your recommendation. Have you ever tried the Barbara Holloway series of legal thrillers by Kate Wilhelm? And Lisa Scottoline's legal series? They both feature female attorneys and they're both very good! Not as good as Iles and Grisham, but definitely worth a try. The first Barbara Holloway is Death Qualified and the first Rosato and Associates by Scottoline is Everywhere That Mary Went. Both series were started in the 90s.
