She said fire all which is the proper way of saying fire. She didn't say FIRAAA. Just saying.

No one mentions how the entire trilogy, Jack and Barbossa argue over control of the ship. This is the scene where they finally agreed on something and it’s beautiful.

No matter how stupid it may be, him slowly walking down the stairs as the ship gets blown to pieces around him is just incredibly iconic

It’s honestly mind blowing that Pirates of the Caribbean’s CGI still surpasses most other movies CGI today

My favorite part is a small detail here, Jack and Barbosa both captaining the pearl together. I especially love that Jack doesn’t hesitate once he sees will and says “full covers!” And a second later Barbosa catches on to what Jack wants to do, so rather than stomping on his plans, repeats jacks order. I especially love jacks subtlety as a captain, not yelling his order to fire, but saying it low, threateningly, and calmly, knowing that it will be carried out

The fact that Gibbs looked up to Jack Sparrow for orders as he knows he's the real captain of the Pearl. Epic.

0:22 a detail that many pass by is that when the flying Dutchman Returns with Will as the captain plays the same score as Davy Jones but more hopeful and powerful. Davy's original score is much more melancholy and dark that emphasizes a lot of the story of Davy Jones and his personality while the track he plays with Will as captain is much more powerful and hopeful, which emphasizes the kindness, resignation and Will's story until he got here, it's like the Davy Jones tale that worked

Something that I didn't notice when I first saw this movie was how dramatically the Dutchman changed back into the almost pristine ship she used to be. Seeing the barnacles and rusticles coming off and the cannon holes changing from ocean green to their former bronze and gold shade was really satisfying.

Now every single movie has the budget that this film had... and yet this is still one of the most visually stunning and undeniably thrilling sequences I've ever seen in a film.

can we appreciate for a moment how the captain dodged all the debris

Beckett's face dropping after seeing the Pearl and the Dutchman both turning towards the Endeavor is priceless

One of...actually probably THE...best death in the entirety of film history. Everything about it was perfect. Visually and Emotionally it was perfection. Movies now almost all have the same budgets or even higher and they still can't manage to even come close to this. Masterful.

"If the ship goes down, the captain must go down with it"
  • @ramonk8429
Can we just appreciate that Becketts death was one of the greatest in movie history

Seeing the Pearl and Dutchman sailing side by side like that was (and still truly is) a sight to behold ⛵⛵
  • What I love about this scene is that Jack didn't know that the Dutchman survived. He was just so pissed about Will's "death" that he was willing to take on a ship that hopelessly outgunned the Pearl, all to avenge his friend.

Orders sir! 2 number 9s, a number 9 large, a number 6 extra dip, a number 7, two number 45s, one with cheese, and a large soda

The first time I watched this I got so excited seeing the Flying Dutchman come out of the water and being manned by Will. All this time I saw the Flying Dutchman as like a legendary boss and now it's on the good guy's side.

i love just that cheeky grin from jack when he calls for full canvas, i think one of jack’s most under appreciated qualities is that he puts a lot of faith in will and elizabeth over the course of these movies
