Yamaha Raptor 700 becomes a Nightmare project. Will it ever run?
#yamaha #rebuild #fix

Hey guys, this is a 2007 Yamaha Raptor 700 that I bought off Craigslist for 1800 bucks. It had an unknown issue that the previous owner tried to have fixed at the dealer where they could not find the issue. Knowing what I know now, this would have been a quick diagnosis, but a few years ago, this turned into a major learning experience. I hope you enjoy the video and thank you for watching! This guy’s frustration represents everyones struggle when fixing pain in the ass bikes or quads. Much respect to this guy!!
  • @AvocatDude
I love that you included all the trials and tribulations you experience during this build. I always get pissed off when I see you guys doing a build and everything goes smoothly we all know that there’s so many frustrated parts that piss us off get frustrated and the fact that you included all those made it so much more real
  • I love how you fine tooth comb the entire machine don't leave a bolt broken cross thread bearing shot.. truly a purist.. anyone that gets a machine from you gets quality in quantity!!
  • @hhstarwars

I so feel you in the video trying to fiddle with errors in my 2015 fuel injected 350 KTM EXC-F. Love how you do not give up when parts to not fit and just keep modding and going. Awesome video I had so much fun watching!
  • @meltedpistons
I don’t understand how you don’t have more subs. Your builds are sick. I started watching when you got the banshee because I also had one. I like how you show all of the troubleshooting and mess ups also.

Nice job dude! Been a mechanic for nearly 30 years and there’s always those frustrating moments and areas. You can achieve anything you but your mind too.I know it’s an old video but you just popped up in my feed.

I just want to say that the quality of your videos are so great. They are so enjoyable to watch and the little details like screen recording the parts you ordered and taking the time to get the right shot are very noticeable. Great job Mike, Keep it up!
  • @petemorris306
Thanks for revisiting this project! I used your engine rebuild videos as a guide for my own Raptor 700 build, which turned out great! These quads are Beasts when they're built. Mines a 734, w/ big 3 mod, ported head, +1 valves, big cam, +3 TB and dynoed 68 hp / 53 tq on pump gas.
  • @MidwestMechanic
The wise words about not giving up I felt for sure man your videos have definitely helped me out learning. I'm 1 yr into power sports and I'm learning something new everyday.
  • @dethmane
I really enjoyed watching this as it reminds me of my on-going project with my 1999 Yamaha Big Bear 350. Bought it for $1k and it kinda ran, had crap tires and sat outside from 2 owners before me after being driven through a mud puddle. So many issues I am still diagnosing, but honestly that is half the fun and knowing new and good parts are replacing the ever growing bad parts. And it runs really good after diagnosing the electrical demons that plagued it when I picked it up. Now I really want to get my hands on a Banshee or a Raptor and use it as my fun build.
  • @commentpulling
Mike, always respect the time and attention to the little details you put into building and rebuilding quads and bikes. Keep the awesome work and videos coming. 👍🏻
  • @jacoberbe2351
I wanted to see the "Emotional damage so many times with the start attempts. Glad you kept at it
  • @KuyaBradford
Seriously one of the coolest videos I have seen on YouTube in a while! Thanks for sharing the whole process to make that Raptor run like a champ! It would be so fun to eventually be able to do everything you did in this video :)
