Can somebody explain to me what the "Blue Whale" references are all about?

Actually, quite easy to understand, yet good for the first time, trick. When he makes his card piles, he's always using 11 cards per pile, and when he dorsnt, he just adds them up to elven later, when he is counting the not completed piles. In the end he always counts the same amount of cards.

"amaze your best friends" - oh you silliy i dont have any friends.

I see how this works. You're counting down the exact number of cards to get to the one that someone picked. It doesn't really matter where you stop, as long as you counted down from 10. You could count down to #4 & then stop if you wanted, no matter what card is showing. As long as you remember the number "4" for that stack, it will work. As a side note: If you somehow end up capping all four piles, the actual card will be the 4th CAP... so you wouldn't cap the 4th pile. You would just turn it over & reveal that it is their card. :)

I love these mathematical card tricks, you do nothing and you still look like a boss while performing them :)

Oh yeah. That's just the vsauce army marching through here. :D

80% of this comment section: "hurr its useless its always the 44th card" You people clearly didn't understand what's the point of magic tricks aka ILLUSIONS. The whole point of these countdowns and piles of cards is to trick the spectator into thinking these are actually of some use while they aren't. Of course it's pointless if you just want to find your card, but it's not about this, it's about the trick.

This is really cool. The kids loved it and were amazed!!

Took me a couple of tries but finally got it...now works every time! Truly amazing. Thanks!
  • @M3gan313
Thank you so much! I have been looking for this trick for 3 hours.

Another cool thing I figured out is this: If you can also force the 14th, 30th, and 46th cards into place, those cards are the three remaining ones in the last face-up pile. One last note, Instead of transferring 4 cards to the bottom every time, just make the first pile a pile of 14 - the trick still works the same. Just give yourself 5 cards (act as if you are just grabbing an indescriminate amount) then count out three piles as you would a hand of cards until all cards are gone.

The instructions were flawed, he forgot to mention that the trick only works on blue whales...
  • @Stranger9cv98
with the addition that the randomly shuffled cards tell you exactly how many cards the one you´re looking for is away. it´s not just counting till you reach the 9th card from the bottom. it´s about the cards always telling you exactly what to do. why don´t people like this trick? i think it´s amazing
  • @NoriMori1992
Thanks for explaining that, I was baffled! :O How deceptively simple!
