The Evergoods CHZ26 backpack, aka the Civic Half Zip 26L, is a strong contender for the title of Best Daily Carry Backpack, at least in my opinion. I was able to test this bag for both daily carry and a couple of out-of-town trips. Solid materials, minimal streamlined design, with great organization, and pretty comfortable as well. Ticks most boxes. But is the laptop being only accessible from the main pocket a dealbreaker? It might be for some people.

    I agree...the half zip is a sleeper these days with everyone obsessed about clam shell. BUT that placement of laptop gets hard when packed..... The only thing needed with this design is seperate outter laptop compartment. Then it be huge

    Evergoods make some great bags. I have the CPL24 v3 and the new CTB26. I don’t think had a bad option in their lineup.
