A profile of the work of musician Rory Gallagher as he prepares to play the National Stadium.

The programme includes footage of a concert at The Savoy in Limerick recorded in 1972 and at the National Stadium in Dublin at Christmas 1978.

Tonight these two thousand or so empty seats will be filled with Rory Gallagher fans.

Rory Gallagher will play four nights at the National Stadium. Dave Heffernan takes a look behind the scenes at the preparations involved in staging the concerts.

Rory talks about his first tour in two years, his new stripped-back three-piece band and his latest album ‘Photo Finish’.

    Thanks my grandfather is in this video, he was a bouncer in the stadium and helped with the set up here, he always said Rory was one of the nicest people you could meet, thanks for posting

    Wow, that sounded great! Guitar solo at the end was especially mind blowing.🤯 I have to admit I hadn't heard of him until I found your channel CR. It's like Molly Hatchet or Skynard, but better because of the Irish kick to it. Great stuff brother man 👍
