3D FDTD- Four pin holes

2013-08-13に共有
A 3D real time FDTD simulation of Maxwell's equations.

This was the result of my 2013 summer internship at Beckman Coulter under the mentor-ship of Bob Zigon.

FDTD is a common technique for modeling electrodynamics. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finite-difference_time-domai…

The simulation ran on a dual GPU system, a Tesla K20 and a Quadro K5000. The FDTD computations were done in CUDA on the Tesla K20 and the volume rendering graphics were done in OpenGL on the Quadro K5000. The simulation space was a 400x400x400 grid. The entire simulation ran in real time.

This is a simulation of a harmonic light source passing through a plate with four pin holes.
