The adventures of Banjo and Kazooie begin here! Banjo-Kazooie will become available for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members on 1/20!

This action game, released for the Nintendo 64™ console in 1998, features an unlikely pair: a Honey Bear named Banjo and a Breegull named Kazooie. Together, the duo embark on a wild quest that makes use of their wide range of combined special moves. It all starts when the wicked witch Gruntilda kidnaps Tooty, Banjo's little sister, and Banjo and Kazooie set out to bring her back—venturing from Spiral Mountain, along the shark-infested coastline of Treasure Trove Cove, through the icy perils of Freezeezy Peak, and beyond. But with Kazooie spending most of her time inside Banjo's backpack, they're like two heroes in one! Though they may squabble from time to time, with the two of them working together, nothing can stand in their way. Now you can join them on this journey into a magical world of adventure!

Honestly this is just mind blowing to see happen, bad emulator or not the fact that banjo has managed to appear on a nintendo platform TWICE in this era is astounding

This is one of those rare games (no pun intended) that are truly timeless. It was amazing back then and it is still amazing to this day.

Dear Nintendo and Rare and Microsoft, Thank you so much for bringing Banjo and Kazooie to not only Super smash bros ultimate, but also to Nintendo 64 Nintendo switch online. This game really takes me back to playing the n64 with my brother. It was one of our favorites growing up along side smash bros, and mario kart. If you could bring Banjo Tooie, Diddy Kong racing, and Donkey kong 64 to the switch, it would be great. I'm looking forward to the day I can show these games to my niece. Thank you guys so much and stay safe and stay healthy!
  • This was one of the last games I played with my dad before he passed away... I'll always keep Banjo Kazooie in a special place within my heart.
  • This is one of the best platforming games ever, right up with Super Mario 64. Playing it on the Switch will be amazing.

I'm really glad that there will be a new generation of people who will have this music stuck in their heads for 20+ years.

Even if the N64 games on NSO have problems, the fact that this managed to happen at all is simply incredible.
  • I’m so happy to finally see my childhood game available for me to play all day to feel like a child once again. This game will always have a place deep in my heart. I can’t wait to see what else is yet to come, hopefully we’ll see donkey Kong 64 soon!
