Most guys had a girl as their first love, for me it was the Foxbody Mustang.

Nothing sounds like a Foxbody 5.0.. and you could hear this music all over Miami- they were in every corner… all modified too! In today’s Miami, the Foxbody has been replaced by Lambos & Ferrarraas everywhere. But many… still keep Foxbody’s as their all time favorite ride. ROLLIN IN MY 5.0!

Just had to add I miss the days when we had our Z28, Trans Am, Mustang rivalries in the high school parking lots. The cars were 10+ years old then (my Camaro was closer to 20 since it was a second generation). One guy had a BEAUTIFUL Fox body mustang with 5 speed, chrome pony wheels, a wicked exhaust and this crazy purple metallic paint job. Well, one day someone called it “The Barney Car” and the name Stuck 🤣

My first car was a black manual 91 lx 5.0 mustang in high school in 1993.. had the flowmasters of course and the H pipe and other tasteful mods.. that car was so sick what great times thanks dad you were the best.!

Recently bought an all original 1-owner, 5-speed convertible to flip, but I have had so much fun with it I am thinking about keeping it.
  • I like the FoxBody , ended up with a New Edge. I've had a 86 Fox, 95 Z28, 87 v8 Regal, 88 Trans Am and a 86 GMC Square body. American car culture is the best, and a true car guy can enjoy almost anything. Except an EV. Nobody can enjoy a "hum" over gas.
  • Still have two Foxes. A 91 GT with a 306 with all the bolt ons and a Vortech, and an 85 Coupe that I have a 408 stroker stashed away for…

I got an 1986 for $1500 3-1/2 years ago. It was my friends and I believe I'm roughly the 3rd or 4th owner. It was sitting since 2006. Didn't start, breaks were a little seize, 2 tires were flat. It took $400 to get it running (fuel pump, fuel filter, battery and cables, oil change, while I'm at it fuel tank gaskets and spark plugs). Engine was shaking a lot because of the engine mounts falling apart. While I was at it (again..) I spent another $500 for valve cover and oil pan gaskets, oil pump, rear main, clutch, throwout and pilot bearings, pivot ball and fork. Everything seemed original and was seeping oil. Currently trying to figure out why it's still shaking once it idles down. Tested the vacuum tree last night with a harbor freight hand pump, blocked off the AC (not hooked up) but didn't get a chance to start it. Will try wires next if the vacuum lines aren't the problem. Once I save up for some tires, I'll be driving it around, even if it does keep shaking.

I bought my 340 high compression 1970 Duster for $3k cash with only 50k miles on it. Headers, traction, L60 tires. That was the going price back then. Yeah I totaled it but pulled the engine/trans and bought another 6 cylinder and did a swap. Cars (and gas) were a lot cheaper plus we had 4 local drag strips! Atco, Englishtown, Maple grove and Cecil County. I luv the F body stang but I'm older now so drive the gentlemen's s550, more refined.

my first car was a 4cyl fox. I was addicted from the start. I've owned 8 of them over the years. Yeah, the 5.0 isn't the fastest but its all about that 5.0 sound.
  • I really love all the imput in your video. I am re building one as we speak. All these details have been reviewed and discussed by me and my buddies, but never all put together in a neat little package like ur video. I really appreciate your insight. Thanks.

I still own my 1987 Mustang GT. T-Tops with 5 speed. Used to daily but now is getting ready for restoration and uogrades. IRS rear swap and brakes is a must!
  • @juniororejel894
    Proud owner of a clean 1993 Mustang GT 5spd and a super clean 1991 Camaro Z28 T-Top
  • @tabletop45
love my 89 LX. bought it straight out of high school, owned it for 15 years now and have done all the mods mentioned plus more
  • @CWR66
I had an 88 GT and that car was fun. I traded it before my son was born because I needed something roomier with a growing family but man I miss that car. In my area you never see them on the road anymore.

So glad to see another upload. Love your vids, especially the C4 vette one. Very into these 80s-90s cars!
  • @98saleen
Agreed. I've owned a few fox bodies over the years. Just recently purchased another one to add to my collection. Great time machine back to a time when the industry was in infancy on these cars and mods.
