Saudi Arabia Plans Gaza Talks as Rafah Invasion Looms | Vantage with Palki Sharma

Saudi Arabia is reportedly planning to host talks with the US, the UK and its fellow Arab partners to discuss Gaza's post-war situation. Arab states have hinted at funding Gaza's reconstruction if there is progress made on the two-state solution. United Nations officials estimate that Gaza's post-war reconstruction could cost around $20 billion, which makes Arab participation key. US officials are pushing Saudi Arabia to recognise Israel in exchange for Benjamin Netanyahu accepting a Palestinian state. Can Riyadh leverage its recognition to force Israel into ending the war? What role can Saudi Arabia play in the ongoing conflict? Palki Sharma tells you.

  • Palki's take on the Israel/Gaza situation is so refreshing.
  • @maunzee
Why are they worried about Gaza post war instead of stopping the current killing of innocent civilians specially children and woman and famine? Distraction from the real matter at hand.
  • The stupid thing about the whole situation is that Blinken is a Jew himself. Which means he's a partisan.
  • I feel sorry for anthony blinkin. It's better he buys a house near Gaza so no traveling. Just change clothes every morning and negotiations😂
  • There is no 2 states solution....If you don't understand this , I feel pity for you.

Let's hope peace should be restored, thousands of children and woman are suffering due to conflict. If MBS is taking initiative, I believe it will happen because he is a task master and know how to convince both the parties

Not expecting much the outcome from the Saudi’s initiative . MBS has too many and his silence lately does not indicate positive actions …..

and Saudi Arabia even included the Palestinian leadership in the atmosphere of those talks. There was coordination between Saudi and Palestinian officials on many files.
  • @destiny4936
It was Palestine which didnt agree to two state solution but Israel agreed in 1947.
  • Saudi Arabia as a mediator? I personally have little hope as I recall the Muslim Brotherhood, Arab Spring, How Iraqs Saddam was handled, Libya Ghaddafi, Oil route all the way to Israel, Saudi security pact with the US etc. And the list goes on. But there is nothing wrong in giving the opportunity to Saudi. Maybe MBS as a mediator can convince both parties of a long-lasting peace treaty.
