It still doesn’t feel right thinking about John, being gone. There will never be another John Ward! I remember the 98 national championship, and my dad turning the tv volume to mute, and listening to John, call the game. Being an 80s baby, I was raised on listening to this man.

I grew up with Peyton’s teams, those are some of the first conscious memories of my life, and he will always by my guy, our guy. But John Ward is the greatest Vol of all time. No player, no coach, no man ever made more humans into Vol fans than John Ward. Oh, how I miss him so (and wish he could have been around to see this season we just had, despite it not ending exactly as we dared to hope. He would have been SO proud)

I'm heartbroken...He was all Vol all the time....from "Give Him 6!!" during football games to "Bahtahm!!!" during basketball games....nobody did it like John. RIP Mr. Ward.....we're all crying Big Orange tears.... :(
