The Snyder Cult Is Embarrassing

The Snyder cult are so unhinged, they remind me of the fremen around the end of Dune.

I vehemently disliked the Snyderverse cause it did some real damage to iconic characters that took nearly a decade to get fixed. I find it crazy how these folks are hating on James Gunn when James Gunn literally made 3 really good MCU movies, 2 of the only few good things the old DCEU had to offer and even made Scooby-Doo work in live action with a absolutely perfect cast. Idunno about you but I would trust the guy who has given DC two back to back W's over the guy who's 4 big movies literally flopped and damaged the reputation of very iconic characters.

Zack's Watchmen adaptation completely misses the point of the original story (a deconstruction of superhero tropes, as well as a cautionary tale. It can't get any more on the nose than "Who watches the Watchmen?", after all). Man Of Steel and Batman V Superman made it clear that he doesn't understand these characters, and his cut of Justice League is not at all worth the hype that has been built up around it. It's cool that it exists, but it also says a lot that there have been fan-edits that reduced the film to a far more manageable 2 and a half hours without losing anything of value to the characters or the plot. At least he seems happy to move forward, and is doing his own thing over at Netflix. Even if that thing, at present, amounts to "Star Wars with the serial numbers filed off". As for the Snyder Cult: It hit me recently that their trash behavior has been going on, in one form or another (be it #ReleaseTheSnyderCut, or #RestoreTheSnyderverse, and the resultant posts and memes) for the better part of seven years (as of this typing). I don't think they'll ever accept that the Snyderverse is gone, and will continue to kiss his ass for any reason. For that, I pity them.

I kinda hate that it’s called the Snyderverse instead of the DCEU. Jon Favreau directed the first Iron Man movie but nobody called the MCU the Favverse. It’s just so ridiculous.

Gunnverse is better than Snyderverse

The Snyder cult are my main source of cringe these days. The fact that they will sit there and tell you Snyder is the blueprint after he stole 90% of Rebel Moon from better movies is a level of delusion I never thought possible.

There’s a comic store owner in Las Vegas with a small channel and STILL thinks ZS is coming back. I check in once in a while and he talks about it almost every stream. The dude is 50…not kidding. P.S. He says Batman wasn’t meant for kids. Reason: he killed a few thugs in the 30’s. No mention that DC decided to change it shortly after and it was before the CCA! Ugh.

As a SnyderVerse fan it’s basically all I care about from the DCEU era, liked some other movies too, but yeah it’s about it; I understand not everyone has the same taste for movies. Still to be impressed by the new stuff. The best movie they’ve made so far is Joker, in my opinion. But then again, that’s just my personal preference for CBMs.

I honestly enjoyed the Snyderverse trilogy but I'm cool with James Gunn taking over the live action DC stuff. Also I'm very excited for the Gunnverse aka the DCU.

feels like everytime I watch a video about the snyderverse or snyder cult the comments always feel like chat gpt or something like that it’s also funny to me how there’s this idea that already james gunns dc stuff is set to fail and wb will crawl back to snyder when like no they won’t lmao snyder has moved on, the actors all moved on, the studio has moved on, everyone has moved on the snyderverse and original dceu failed, it was not well received critically and had mixed opinions in the audience, people weren’t seeing the movies as much, and it just wasn’t going anywhere if gunn fails they’ll just focus on stuff like the batman and joker, since those have been huge dc successes, they’re not gonna “crawl back” to a guy who doesn’t really care anymore I would say let it go, but half of the snyder cult people feel and act like chat gpt bots so I’m not gonna bother lmao

It needs to stop especially because Snyder himself has such terrible taste in movies. Have you seen his Top 5 list? Execrable.

Actually liked the Watchmen and 300, Batman vs Superman, Man of Steel were horrible takes on iconic characters....all camera angles with bad characterization
