The girl with the "headache" reminds me of another story. A guy was interrogated* for hours, being accused of killing his gf until the detectives realized he had bullet wounds in his head.

What's amazing is how Jerrontae accused her of being lazy knowing he had shot her in the head weeks earlier, and then threw a fit, stating he took care of her, when she left him. What a psychopathic loser.
  • the fact they just left him in the hallway and not actually rushed to get him help is the disturbing part
  • @meganmelberg8210
I didnt expect Nicoles story to end like that.. She is lucky to have Leisha as a friend. She cares so much about her, thank god she talked her into going to the hospital not only to save her life but also because she never knew what he did to her.

I'm an ER doctor. You might be surprised at how often paramedics or other medical professionals either think someone is dead when they aren't or don't notice that the patient died / stopped breathing while standing right next to them. There are various errors that contribute to this, but the two most common is a phenomena known as "anchoring bias" and "confirmation bias". Anchoring bias is a tendency to rely heavily on the first piece of information you hear. Confirmation bias is the tendency to see new information as consistent with and supportive of what you already believe to be true. It works like this. Someone is severely injured or is near death from a medical condition. A bystander calls 911 and says "I found a dead body" or "there was a motorcycle accident... ughhh... this guy is dead." The information is relayed to emergency services, who then expect to see a dead person. When they arrive, they look at the victim. Maybe he is covered in blood or has grievous injuries or appears not to be breathing. There might be some subtle signs that the victim is not dead, but these are overlooked (if he is dead, why is he still bleeding) or discounted (did I just feel a very weak pulse there? No, I think that was just my own pulse). It is very important to follow your usual procedures and to make your own independent assessments every single time. Have you ever noticed that when at doctor's office or ER, you get asked the same questions 4 times by 4 different people? Many patients see this as a sign of disorganization and get frustrated by it. The fact of the matter is that I do know what the secretary / nurse / referring physician says is going on, but I'm asking you anyway for a specific reason. Oh, and wear a seatbelt / helmet!

The girl with the headache. That story is so insane. He KNEW he shot her in the head and he absolutely knew that’s why her head hurt and he had no remorse at all and even yelled at her and called her lazy like how awful can a person actually be?!?!
  • @cmcc8836
This dude has the best nonverbal communication skills. His gesturing and facial expressions contribute to the plot and story just as much as his words.
  • @nikellelizabeth
The most disgusting story of gaslighting I’ve ever heard. Bless her friend for being there for her no matter what. She knew something was wrong/out of character. 😓
  • @mclovin2408
The fact that Natalia’s friend actually attacked the bear to save her friend is actually indescribably admirable, she a real one.
  • @WontSeeReplies
Natalya is as heroic as heroic gets. Sacrificed herself to be eaten alive TWICE to save her elderly friend. No words can describe this woman’s courage and heart.
  • @j-lee143
The bullet story hit home for me, my lil pup, a Bichon Frise named Benji, was itching this spot on his chest, we thought it was a dry skin patch from his harness. We took him to the vet and eventually, over a few weeks of trying different treatments, they did X-rays, only to find a bullet lodged in his chest! I mean like a real bullet from a hand g*n, not a BB g*n...he lived the rest of his life with it because of the position was to close to his heart for surgery. To this day, we have no idea who shot him or why. He eventually passed due to complications from it at almost 12 years old, in 2010. RIP Sir Benjamin of Locksley ❤😢
  • That’s why I love dogs…he truly saved his owner’s life. ❤❤ Story #3- Nicole was my patient. This was a case I will never forget as it’s etched inside. Some of us still talk about this when we see one another. Hope she’s doing well as the hospital is now closed and I’m at another hospital.
  • @veronicae2291
The audacity of Jerrante to question Nicole's headache saying "I can't be that bad" knowing full well, why it was "that bad".
  • @SunRayz3r
Imagine being the doctors having the audacity to professionally pronounce someone deceased without CONFIRMING the individual dead first. 😲
  • @trenttaylor6382
The one with Nicole reminds me of the story about Ryan Waller and his girlfriend Heather Quan where detectives didn’t believe him that he’d been shot even when they had him in their custody in an interrogation room. I think Mr. Ballen covered this story a couple of years ago as well.
  • @lincatbug
I highly suggest you to watch the interview with Natalia Pasternak and her friend about the incident. Natalia actually said that she was prepared to die. And Valya was praying out loud while trying to distract the bear thinking to herself that neither her, nor her friend Natalia would survive, but she was still willing to do everything she could to help to be clean before god. Truly fascinating story
  • @scruffy-thejanitor
When you mentioned Nicole's friend of 20 years was so persistent to get to her, which the boyfriend didn't want, I immediately got SUS vibes from that boyfriend. Her friend disliked him for good reasons.

Every week, consistent, no tricks, no click bait! Just good story telling! Thank you Mr Ballen

The autopsy story is horrific!!! Omg-I can’t believe he made a full recovery. His guardian Angel needs a raise!🙏💜
  • @jus10lewissr
I've always wondered how common it is for live people to undergo an autopsy, clearly being killed by it shortly after it began, and no one ever knowing the person was actually alive beforehand. It may not be a huge amount, but I bet it's a lot more than we could ever guess, and just the thought of it happening to one person is horrifying enough as it is.
