For everyone who complained that "A Lady" should be longer, then complained that the longer version was in the wrong order.

The title of this song is literally 'A lady and fate of the Stars' when put together, and I think that's beautiful
  • @Froggediah
Will nobody bring up how fate of the stars is terrifying but still beautiful..?
  • This sounds better than v3. Probably bc it actually says something when put together and that Fate of the Stars was one of Tally Hall's last ever songs.
  • @tally_hal
i love how the video is mostly just fate of the stars

I discovered Tally Hall by coincidence in late 2021, and what a wonderful rabbit hole this is. And may I add, here you have compiled the songs that grab me the most.

Man I fucking love this. The more I look into the good and evil album the more I appreciate it not just from a musical standpoint, but from the lesson hidden within it, that humanity is a sum of all its parts, the good & the evil. we live on the &; in the place that separates these seemingly opposite worlds and ideas, we are capable of both. and in a beautifully poetic way, even tally hall seems to be both happy and sad about this fact, leading to a bittersweet trio of songs that ponder, question, & accept out contradictory existence. and how just maybe, if we learn to embrace the paradox we might become greater than the sum of our parts, greater than good or evil, we will be the *rulers of everything*.

For some reason, I think of a cult that worships a being known as "The &", and the lady mentioned in "A Lady" is "The &".
  • @BeanieGoth
Hell yeah Tally Hall is still relevant :D
  • @Dystdotmp4
ok, who the heck puts mid-roll ads on music??? lmao
  • i love when tally hall said ¨its tallyhalling time¨ and tallyhallied all over the place

Oh gosh... I remember looking at this like a year ago, back when I couldn't even tell Miracle Musical and Tally Hall apart, and this video made me think that these three songs were the whole album, lol.

all of the lyrics that i copy/pasted (warning, wall of text) [A Lady] I know a lady Good & Evil Showed me that I was a gentleman Wait for the girl to blossom into Colors that grow where you can [&] Love of the son Came back again To make it clear that He never said it would meet demand Shame on a martyr Claiming friends from Either perspective of & Weak & Strong & Wet & Dry & Right & Wrong & Live & Die & Sane & Gone & Love & Not & All the &s that we forgot so Sing while you hear it Don't deny it Leave if you can't stand the thought of it Come back again To make things stand With no disrespect to the & High & Low & New & Old & Stop & Go & Hot & Cold & John & Yoko Dark & Light It's almost time to say goodnight to it They took a lesson From their fathers Told them that they were the same command Wait for their minds To make complete Their lives stuck beside every & Words & Numbers & Sound & Silence Stop the peace & Keep the violence No & Yes & We digress It lives with sad & happiness Oh God Big bad Betty of the 'pocalypse She opens her lips & it goes like this When the golden rule & the jungle meet There'll be nothing to love & There'll be no one to beat Oh the things we know The things we don't The things we think we can will & won't We're loath to gather that nothing's left We're all together & we're all bereft Capitalists & communists You did the hokey-pokey & it went like this You hate each other & you love yourselves It might be heaven & it might be hell Oh the things we do The things we say Oh the things we wish we could wash away [Fate of the Stars] To leave from this tale follow closely ahead Prepare to exist by the living & dead Too slow or too kind or too wary of those too at ease Past all the buried impressions of then Sullen drawn eyes and expressions to mend Continued through mirrors left broken to sing and be heard Through when it seems all the senses are lost to absurd So the part where we are Trapped in active depart In the fate of the stars No not one who we are No control pumping heart Button pressed mind in art Mind control Mind restart To leave from the present with no source of sound They laugh because silence is never around Ignored and forgotten the past may continue to breathe Feared not a rest by this desolate friend Whose patience revealed what intent comes to send With a stare at a hole in the world comes a lust to be high Above all the dark nested clouds that keep guard of the sky So the part where we are Trapped in active depart In the fate of the stars No not one who we are No control pumping heart Button pressed mind in art Mind control Mind restart Step onto the ferris wheel Round for day & night Lost in what's forever more Complacent in its reasons for Give & Take & Sleep & Wake & Pray for Day & Night to come Again we see there's certainty in What we feel and what we've heard Again we see there's certainty in Expectations all the same --- this is mostly for my own convenience

I really love this version! I listened to both, and I really like the transition between & and Fate Of The Stars in this one.
  • @thehornedserpent
The albums theme is duality for anyone who didn’t already know.
  • @GlitchyPix
I realise this video is 3 years old but was there something confirming that these three songs were linked? Like, 'A Lady' and '&' obviously have the same melody but where does Fate of the Stars come in? I mean, it's a nice mixture either way, I actually like the structure of A Lady/&/Fate of the Stars since it's like the song is going from calm to wild and back to calm with the guitar creating kind of a bookend, but where did it come from exactly?
  • @sfsaviation
Take a hit every time he says and, then listen to fate of the stars :)
  • @biggiecheese3753
The Lady should've been right behind Never meant to Know in the Good & Evil Album
