  • Firefighters are heroes, people affected, I am so sorry, my thoughts are with you.
  • This happened last year also....in other parts of Oregon burning down houses too....Also animals...Need precautions to avoid this. Must have a solution. Is this natural disaster or man made?I am not born in USA...Have visited in this beautiful State.Feel sad. 🙏🙏

Eastern Oregon strong 💯💯💯... surprised this report doesn't cover Ashgrove. Whats the environmental impacts should the fire get to Ashgrove?
  • @AndyNpdx
Why don't they ask Idaho for help since they don't want to be part of Oregon?
  • @iquanyin1
we need to fix our climate. to prevent the worst of it—not all but the worst—it’s estimated we have about 10 or 15 years. having been thru the 2020 almeda fire, you all have my sympathy and empathy. we are still recovering.
  • Libertarians finding out it’s going to be rough without government assistance. No man is an island!
  • Just heart breaking, the best thing now is an early snow and that is a very long way off. Please stay safe.

I have always thought that if post fire conditions permit, namely rain or snow in the winter, not drought, then these burns will kill disease and pests. If not, then this is tragic.
  • OK so its worth 500 sq ft now or ? Becsuse its not worth 1000 pet square foot justify your values noe
  • I wonder if these folks still think joining Idaho will solve all their problems when Idaho burns, too.
  • Not very good reporting sorry to say. What those farmers produce is consumed in many places and this will have effects and that rather than “no telling how many miles ….lost” or worse yet “Some may look at these hills and not see much”…you have so few words afforded so please use them with specific and pertinent content. That our fire fighters are volunteer and that woman interviewed had such poor dental care; we are getting what we deserve in a way….we have taken so much for granted, the ecosystem, the farmers and all for what? To own a lot of junk and eat a lot of junk? Reallly our aspirations as a species?
  • Climate deniers / join Idaho crowd ...... "Reality calling sir, will you accept the the charges"?
  • @ebroskie
It's tragic, and yes climate change is affecting things. In Willamette NF the losses in the last 4 years is equal to the losses of the previous 100 years. We all need to come together and support each other rather than sniping at each other.
  • It's totally baffling how these folks keep voting for disaster. Vote red if you don't care about the future.
