Barcelona residents call for 'tourism degrowth' to combat overtourism

An old Swiss man on a flight once said to me, There is only one Eiffel Tower. What happens when everyone can afford to go see it?

Waah, waah, waah. Always the same people whining carrying the same flags and banners. This is only a small percentage of the Spanish population acting out again. The political divide that has affected most of the free world is happening in Spain.

Not only in Spain, here in Japan, if you walk around the country, it doesn't feel being in Japan, there are too many tourists behaving like they own the places. If you are a foreigner, regardless of the money you bring in, remember that you are a guest, and behave accordingly. Respect the local laws, the codes and social customs....

These tourists are very cheap people in their countries. WHAT a lack of respect for a beautiful city.

What are these people going to do when the tourism stops and the money stops and all the self. Righteous people don't have any money to feed their families. Their kids and the businesses that are thriving now start shutting down. This is the same thing that started happening in San Francisco. When they made it where people didn't want to visit San Francisco anymore. San Francisco is a failed city failed state of California. And these people are following in the exact same footsteps. I hope they get what they're asking for they get to suffer the lack of funds coming into their state their country, their communities.... All because they are self entitled thinking that they own the country.
