The 25th Anniversary Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Concerts was a two-day concert series celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The concert took place on October 29 and 30, 2009 at Madison Square Garden and the tickets cost between $75 and $2,000.

The idea behind the concert was to have Hall of Fame inductees perform in eight segments (Crosby, Stills and Nash, Simon and Garfunkel, Stevie Wonder, Bruce Springsteen, Aretha Franklin, Jeff Beck, Metallica, and U2) and present their own songs or songs originally performed by other Hall of Fame inductees.

A four-hour compilation of the concert was first broadcast by the US television provider HBO on November 29, 2009. In addition, the concert was released on DVD (HBO compilation on two DVDs plus a bonus DVD). Source: Wikipedia #csn #jamestaylor #bonnieraitt #rockhall

I'm back in my youth listening to Crosby, Stills and Nash. They sound fabulous. And James Taylor et al. I love it. We had the best music.

This is one of the greatest things I’ve ever seen in my looong boomer life. So lucky to have been around to hear these people, then and now. ❤
  • I love these performers! It reminds me of when I was young. They don't make 'em like this anymore.
  • @JCEpps
These old men sure make good music.

Hard to believe the stage didnt collapse from the infinite amount of talent present. Does anyone remember what this means ✌️? I do in 2024.

Last night I was in the audience for Bonnie Raitt's concert in STL. It was like no time has passed. All these artists have stood the test of time and their talents have never been diminished.
  • What can I say, just watch, enjoy and remember the many decades of great music they gave us..
  • The Canyon days....best period in music ever, with so many beautiful memories for so many. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to see all of the awe inspiring talent that came out of this period at the Troubadour. $5.00 with a two drink minimum! Cat Stevens, CSN, Bonnie, Joni, and on and on and on...the music, the vibe, the happiness we all felt, amazing times.

James Taylor's voice is even better than when he was young. Even David Crosby had to look over in admiration.
  • I almost lost it when they did "Teach Your Children" What a fantastic line up. Wish I could have attended that concert. RIP genius David Crosby.😢❤

It’s all very well writing one of the best songs ever, but you have to perform it too. Every time I hear Love Has No Pride it does me in. What a performance, what a talent, what a song, thanks Bonnie, no wonder Croz said what he said. I’m a massive fan of everyone on that stage, wish I had been there.
