In the new season, Din Djarin, once a lone bounty hunter, has been reunited with Grogu, a child of Yodaā€™s species whom he rescued and subsequently turned over to Luke Skywalker at the end of Season 2. As the New Republic struggles to lead the galaxy away from its dark history, the Mandalorian crosses paths with old allies and makes new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.

Seeing the shadow of the Purgill in the hyperspace tunnel was a reminder that weā€™re inching closer to ā€œAhsokaā€. Filoni knows what heā€™s doing, and I love it.

Grogu hugging the Anzellan. Like a fiver year old and the terrified family cat

"No squeezie! Bad baby!" And honestly I just love that shot of Din and Grogu flying upside down, Grogu starting to slide out of Din's chest baldric, and he just puts one hand on Grogu's head and presses him back down into his lap. Such a Dad move.

it's taken me three seasons of The Mandalorian (and BoB and Rebels) for it to finally sink in that there's probably symbolism behind Din's chrome armor. Every other Mandalorian we've met has their armor or helmet painted, whether it's for a clan or self-identity (like Sabine or the Fetts). This has been a journey of self-discovery for Din as he searches for an identity of his own. We didn't even learn his true name until the end of Season One (or even Grogu's near the end of Season Two). Din is still a blank slate, and his journey to Mandalore could be where he finally finds himself.

Man the pure joy you guys had during that entire Anzellen scene was so infectious šŸ˜‚

This episode firmly places Greef Karga into the same category as Jabba the Hutt of ā€œboss who can have a Mandalorian lean against something behind them and be ready for action at any moment and must therefore be taken very seriouslyā€.

So glad Mando is back. This show makes me happy. I love Din and Grogu together. This show is pure fun.

The Anzellans were my favorite part. That scene encapsulates EVERYTHING I love about star wars. From the physical effects and puppetry to the world building to the comedy. Perfection.

Honestly the thing I love the most about this show is that I get to enjoy it with you guys after. I love being here and laughing along with the three of you. Also, it's pretty cool that 2 latinos are carrying the Star Wars franchise on their backs, Diego with Andor and Pedro with the Mandalorian.

If Mandalore is irradiated and poisoned, then a droid is the safest thing to explore it. So it makes sense.

This episode reminds me of the vibes of season 1 in the best way. Mostly in the sense that it feels a lot like a video game and this is the collecting side missions part. He picked up the fix IG-11 quest, he accidentally triggered the space pirates quest, and then picked up the fix upset Bo-Katan quest; meanwhile Grogu started the space whales storyline, all while on the way to Mandalore (main story)

I loved all the little moments with Grogu and Din. Din explaining the navigation system on the ship to Grogu. Din scolding Grogu for playing with the Anzellans. It's these little moments of interaction that make the show. Above all else, the cameos, the action, these two are indeed the heart of it all. Their relationship as father and son has developed so much since the first season its actually amazing. And like you guys said, I didn't realize how much I missed these two until I was watching the episode. I love them so much, and this episode was great! I can't wait for the next one!

Hector - "Bo Katan can get it, The Armourer can get it..."šŸ¤£ Hector is me
  • @BR0TH0RITY
The Mando theme never gets old. Love the musical cue as he zooms by the alligator monster for the first time
  • @BudhagRizzo
Din Djarin has returned loads of Beskar to his group, wields the Dark Saber, just rescued them from a giant crocodile. Amorer still won't give him a break about taking off his helmet! lol
  • @HeroesReforged Can't believe we got the return of the Zillo Beast from The Clone Wars in The Bad Batch & the live-action debut of the Purgill from Rebels in The Mandalorian on the same day! Awesome!

In Jimmy Kimmel's show, guest John Favreau just mentioned that the kid is actually Jimmy's nephew Wesley Kimmel who was already in the Book of Boba Fett as one of the young Tusken Raiders. Give credits to MythBusters' Grant Imahara who built Grogu, unfortunately he died over a couple of years ago. What a great legacy to his credit in making baby Yoda. Also i don't think these guys ever take baths so just imagine Mando taking a selfie with him naked in a pool of water underground with only his helmet on.
