They're NOT Gladiators. They're Centurions or Legionaires. Gladiators were the slave and prisoner fighters.

The people who can see these scammers coming a mile away can look after themselves but the one's that can't I feel so sorry for them

When I visited the coliseum I walked through the crowds to meet with our tour and realized my backpack zippers were all open. Luckily I didnt have anything in those pockets.

We were scammed in Istanbul Turkey where we went to this quite restaurant with no customers at all, but they persuaded us to go in. We had a good satisfying meal however. We asked them how much it will come up to from start, but they refused to answer or got us distracted with 1 thing or another. In the end, they struck us with a bill of £500 and the meal was maybe worth £15 to £25. We gave £250 and managed to somehow escape as they were getting a bit aggressive and I was not in any position to fight them.

I've been to Rome at least 3x many years ago and didn't get scammed. Maybe I was just lucky and/or because I didn't look like I had money😊. I've been surrounded by a group of Roma in a small town in Liguria and wouldn't leave me alone because I didn't give them enough money. What I did was go inside the nearest store and waited until they left the piazza. Just in case, I decided to cut my day trip to that town and took a bus to another town. I only carried enough cash in small bills for the day and not kept them in one pocket. The only expensive thing I owned was my SLR camera which was kept in my backpack until I wanted to take pictures.

I almost got scammed in vietnam one time, got a tour on a motorbike with my friend. Tour guide shows us 1 menu tells us the tour is $12 each. At the end pulls a menu with the same pics but different prices and says its $50 each now. Only gave him $12 each
