The fact that it was so early on and so unexpected, because that's how death is. Sudden and shocking, and they nailed that atmosphere this episode.

Whenever there's an HBO episode with "wedding" in the title we just have to prepare ourselves to have the trajectory of our lives changed. This was masterful. Truly.
  • This was an episode for all kids who lost a parent unexpectedly. It was exactly like that.
  • @leerhode1021
I thought Tom was pranking the adult kids, but as the episode progressed, I said OMG! It’s real! Shocked. . .
  • @honkyxadonis
As someone with several brothers and sisters who lost my father this episode really nails that mood and the emotional rollercoaster

NGL the support all the siblings were giving each other made me tear up more than Logan actually dying.
  • 6 mins in: Logan what scheme are you cooking? 12 mins in: This is low even for Logan 20 mins in: Oh….
  • Amazing acting by all cast but this was Kieran Culkin's Emmy moment

Do not mess with Gerri is what I learned during the episode.

Love how they titled this episode. The wedding was the smallest event in this entire episode. Stunning episode, just WOW!

I seriously thought he was faking for at least twenty minutes to get a reaction from the siblings. I’m still in shock. I wanted to give Shiv a big hug. Lord knows that messy, selfish girlie needs one from someone.

I think many of us felt like Roman , looking for hope. I can say from my personal experience ( my Dad’s passing) they captured so many real -life elements. Especially how things change so suddenly and the stunning effect it gives you…the regrets on that final interaction, the disbelief, it’s horrendous and they captured it as only good artists can
  • When Shiv was told Logan was gone and she said, Um, No! I can’t have that; I was utterly gutted. All performances in this episode were amazingly done and eye-opening to the point that each character center was rocked.

Shiv's anxious reaction when she was on the phone while Logan was receiving CPR was exactly how I reacted when I was watching the doctors doing CPR on my mom when she was dying. It felt like the earth was about to implode under me and I couldn't do anything while also being in denial. It felt like I was watching myself and reliving that dreaded time again.

People ask what’s the appeal of a show about 3 nepo babies and I respond with this (among other things of course): you get a chance to explore some of the most human emotions you will ever witness from a TV show. This episode captured grief in a way that I haven’t seen before and seeing Logan’s lifeless body in the background shook me. Beautifully crafted episode & series.

My father died overseas during the peak of COVID and my siblings and I all had to be on the phone remotely from different places on a call where we realized he was going to die and we had to mourn on a group call and this episode completely brought me back to that kind of surteal, horrible memory. Well done to Jesse, Mark and the entire team.

I went through all of the stages of grief in this one episode! Denial, I kept laughing because I thought he was playing a sick prank on the kids! Anger, because I couldn’t see Logan, and i needed proof that he was dying! Bargaining, just who is in control? It has to be Shiv! No, Kendall, and then the sadness and depression kicked in, and I’m crying…..then I had no choice but to reach acceptance! What a great show!!!!!
  • Matthew Macfadyen was SO good in this episode, when he's on the phone you can hear Tom trying to hold it together and slightly failing. Just so subtle and brilliant. And the kids! Each one's reaction was so different and true to character and heavy. I loved it.
