The Best Car Paint Touch Up Tools Tips and Tricks can be done with several applicators such as a tooth pick, paint touch up pen, Lowel Cornel paint pen, Paasche Flow Pencil, iwata studio series airbrush, but the least expensive and most precise application can be done with a needle and syringe. This paint touch up tool can fix rock chips and even paint disaster clean ups on some of the dirtiest cars ever. Best to do this technique after a carwash and possible clay on the clear coat if needed. This is the best paint touch up technique I've used in my auto detailing career so far Hope you enjoy this AMMO NYC Episode!

Instead of getting upset when seeing the damage I bet that Larry was like “aye! Some new video content!”😂😂 always love your positive attitude Mr. Kosilla

I'm an engineer who worked briefly in polymer chemistry. Your explanation of delamination from mismatched swelling was so concise (4:20). Loved the animation.

/Gets pulled over "These needles are for paint, I swear!" "Aha. Sure junkie"

Mom finds all of sons needles: "omg he's doing drugs!" Son: "No mom! Car detailing, it's more expensive and more addicting."

Started using needles for very precise touch ups and stone chips 20 years ago. Depending on what flow rate you want you will find it less problematic if you thin the paint more than normal before filling syringe. Thicker paints and if you set your syringe down for a bit and then come back you will find the paint has dried in the needle neck. Do not apply more pressure to force the dried paint out. If it does dislodge you will shoot a stream of paint under high pressure at whatever your were aiming at. Best to just put a new needle on. If you do set the syringe down and its going to be for longer than a minute or two, you need to pull gently back on the plunger to pull the paint out of the needle and back into the syringe saving yourself from using another needle. Another way to open the needle up and start paint flowing is to take a lighter and apply the flame to the needle barrel aiming the end away from you as once the dried paint reaches a hot enough temp it will shoot the blockage right out the tip. I would use another needle head as first choice. You have to play with the needle but you can get it to flow out at a controlled speed so that no pressure needs to be applied to the syringe plunger, this is desirable when filling many rock chips, you do have to keep up which isn't that hard if all your chips are prepped and ready for filling. Sometimes the chip may require a second application but usually once fills it precisely.

Removing the wheels is next level detailing. There's plenty of times when I've really wanted to do it but it takes so much time without a double jack setup like you have. I haven't been employed as a detailer for a few years but your content keeps my skills fresh.
  • @Jan_Boris
Working everyday with needles and syringes and looking at 10:35 I have to strongly suggest to avoid air pockets in the syringes. It will destroy your flow as in compresses and when you back off with your thumb it will continue to flow for an uncontrollable amout of time.
  • @07slowbalt
Mix the clear and paint together instead of trying to add the clear later. It blends nice and looks better. You can wet sand lightly and buff and virtually make the chips disappear by doing this. Don't overfill or underfill the chips this is the key. Takes some practice but be patient doing it. Toothpicks have always worked for me or a very small craft paint brush.
  • @Trev9
All I can say is... You are sooo correct when you mention the obsession with trying to get it perfect
  • @ColdStartAuto
You look like the cooler version of Linus Tech Tips.
  • You are actually a very knowledgeable person when it comes to touch up. I’ve been in the business for 25 years and I really thoroughly enjoyed your videos. You really know what you’re talking about. You are someone that really can help real people understand on how touch up really works great job dude.
  • @robertlee2677
Yup. we all know the drill. The Wife is Happy! that is all we need.
  • @gfuterfas
Does your wife ever ask you, "Are you really taking the wheels off my car to clean it? You know I'm just going to go park it under a bunch of trees." LOL!
  • Larry I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your products. Ive been using your products for 4 years now and my cars are in incredible condition and all I can say is thank you
  • @donaldclary846
I've had great results when touching up paint...I let the touch up dry for a few hours and then go over it with a pad and compound. The compound and heat from the polisher really smooths out and blends the touch up.
  • @bouncerbloke1
2:02 you say therapeutic, I say a pain in the arse 😂. As someone who hates cleaning and detailing cars I'm really impressed by you and your channel. Thank God there are people like you around who find this therapeutic

I just realized this is the best guy in the game for car washing tips and he only has 190k subs? This guy has taught me everything I know. Hes is my master!
  • @CookJunkie
I've been watching your videos for awhile now. Everytime it does not disappoint. The wealth of information you share to the community and the best part of it all is you do not hide your growth. You bring back some of the techniques that were used before and show a new learned and better method. It's very rare to see someone documenting themselves and showing that part of themselves. Not do only these videos give me reference, but it also improves the way I think about detailing my own or others cars. All I can I say is thank you.
