Wrecker Maintenance

Publicado 2024-07-25
More and more maintenence on the main workhorses of the channel. Upgrading tires on Ol Blue and fixing the rear leaf springs on Trailmater. Then we had a recovery up on the mountain which turned into just driving the machine back down. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting us.

I’d personally like to thank “Mexico “ for letting you play on that blocked off road! Ol blue is a fun truck!
  • @PamelaBarber-o4q
Hooray for the Mexico Dragway! I never wanted to mention it, but the wheels always looked a wee bit small on Blue. Glad that's fixed now.

I see Mike hasn't been using the "attack sidegrinder" for a while. "Your mother was a shrubbery ". Good one. Broke me up, choked on my coffee.

"I think you should talk bad about it." "Your mother was a shrubbery" Haven't laughed that hard in awhile.

What’s better than a maintenance video, a maintenance video with a recovery.

That shortcut from Utah to Florida via Mexico is so neat.

NOICE! The Drill Press has been upgraded since it was new. The Leather Belt goes down to an electric motor instead of up to a Line Shaft. Since the belt goes down around sleeves, arms, and fingers, someone also added the cage. "A line shaft is a power-driven rotating shaft for power transmission that was used extensively from the Industrial Revolution until the early 20th century."

  • @lucwilson1
Love seeing the maintenance and resourcefulness to fix things as they are needed. If only the world could do more of this rather than throwing things away and replacing.
  • @lyleswavel320
My kind of relaxing video, fixing problems with horsepower & metal fabrication
  • @Elden_Lean
"Your mother was a shrubbery". Very nice, Mike.

I love watching you guys fabricating stuff - cutting and welding and lifting one tow truck with the other tow truck. This helps me better understand how much stuff wears out when you're constantly running on the tough trails in Moab. I enjoyed watching this one.

Whenever Rory is welding I put on my super dark sun glasses. I'm no fool. :person-blue-holding-pencil:😎
