LMAO!!! The MR2 pulling a trailer with Mullet on it has gotta be the funniest thing I saw in a while LOL!!
  • @DaBaltimoron
When you beat Mullet with an engine off FBMP, you can't complain.
  • @randygalati
“That’s a lot of damage! Today’s video is brought to you by Factor,” 😂😂

Mr2 pulling mullet on the trailer! 😂😂😂
  • Well at 1600 HP it's making 400 per cylinder so that could definitely be stressful on the engine, think of it as an offering to the God's of speed, the faster you go the more expensive it is.
  • @EvilEndz
The catch pan did a great job, full speed with oil able to hit the back tyres would not have been a fun time. Glad you got the win and didn't wreck anything else.
  • @kyleb6325
If I remember correctly Steve Morris did a video about how when you miss a shift or blow the tires off it causes the motor to over rev and stretches the rods the 9 times out of 10 the motor let’s go on the next run the car makes.

16:17 check the gap on the "good" ones? from a physics POV it absolutely was the connecting rod small end failing first (unless you consider the ring gap). The way it's not just blown open at its thinnest wall, it's how the wristpin hole is elongated. There's a million ways to smash that closed bouncing around in the block but almost no way to elongate it unless it was literally yanked off the wristpin.

You should measure the ring gap and one of the other cylinders and see what they're at

Bruh that outro is uncalled for 😂😂

Love how you guys listen to what your fans want. Seen a lot of comments lately asking for more of this old school feel video watching you work. And now bang next vid heaps of time lapse and just watching you guys work, we don't care what it is keep it coming
  • @Avetho
Lol NOW THAT'S A LOT OF DAMAGE got me rolling, Phil Swift is a legend

You can see the rod hit the firewall in your replay.. left a few good dents.
  • Kyle one of the reasons is that cilinder is the one who takes "fresh" water first, so the cilinder wont expand as much as the others, and that´s why cilinder "one" will always the one to break in a situation like that (to tight rings).
  • @matthewf1979
5:34 Between the two cables hanging off the ECU’s. You almost had a failure of the firewall there Kyle. Consider some foreign object protection. The last thing you need is flaming oil making its way to you.

With over 4 bar of pressure I am not surprised it let go. Interesting video tough. I blew my headgasket at 1.2 bar once on an 8v Integrale. Not cheap to fix with so little room in the engine bay. Thanks for the video, God bless and lots of love from Norway.

I'm no expert, but when I see stretched rods and pins ripping out, I immediately think overrun. And you did a few passes that day where you never clicked into 5th, just backed out of 4th and let it do a big long high rpm overrun. It's something that kills hillclimb and sprint race engines on the regular. The other thing I noted is your carbon doors have one nice inner piece layed up on it's own, and a matching nice outer piece. But when it ripped apart, you could see they just slazzed a bit of whatever fibreglass bonding goo in there and it's not keyed in to either CF surface.. It's just in there hanging on till it doesnt.. Still love that you won the event. It was the perfect example of bring all the power you want. Let's see who can put it down.
