Video montage of photographs contributed by residents and former residents of Greensburg, Indiana. A special thanks to Lou Alexander. Theme is titled "I Start Counting" - Sung by Lindsey Moore (Basil Kirchin), recorded in 1969.

Lyrics to song:

I START COUNTING
(Basil Kirchin / Jack Nathan / James Coleman / Patrick Ryan)

This year, next year
Sometime never
Paper dreams tied up
With bits of string
Darkness comes
Flowers grow
No-one knows
I start counting
I start counting

Sitting by myself in a secret
Chasing thoughts through rainbows in my mind
Changing time
Tomorrow's dream
In between
I start counting
I start counting
I start counting
Counting, counting, counting, counting, counting

  • Love the vintage photos. Was this a a 45 release ? You mention sung by Lindsey Moore. Was she part of a band ? To me,the lyrics are on the Psychedelic side

  • Hasn't changed much, unfortunately most the kids grew up and became meth addicts and have taken over the streets. There r still some kind, good ppl. The buildings r all still the same. It's still a small farmers town during the day. Just ppl wld stop renting to the addicts. Maybe they wld leave
