After having an amazing time in Chandigarh, I decided to take the toy train from Kalka to Shimla to explore India's most popular hill station! When I arrived I was shocked at the altitude of Shimla! I didn't realize that it was so high. The height made it even more difficult to climb up all the hills with my backpack to arrive at my hostel. I woke up early the next day to try to explore as much of Shimla as I could before escaping from the cold! I started my day taking the Jakhu Ropeway up to Jakhu Temple. I'm so glad I took the ropeway up instead of walking as it was a long and steep walk! During the 6 minute ride up to the top it started snowing! I was so amazed to see snow in India as generally I think of India as a very warm country. Unfortunately when I arrived at the Jakhu Temple it was very cloudy so I didn't have much of a view, but it was worth it to see the snow! I ended up going to the cafe (Cafe Under Tree) at the top of the temple to try to warm up. It was a really nice cafe where I was able to order aloo paratha and also the local lachha paratha. They were both so good! After the cafe I decided to walk down from the temple to keep exploring Shimla. I had heard that the monkeys in Shimla could be scary, but I didn't expect them to be as scary as they were when I was walking down from Jakhu Temple! Luckily after seeing the scariest monkeys ever, I ran into the cutest dogs ever!!! The dogs in Shimla were amazing because they were all big mountain dogs, but they were sooo sweet!!! After playing with the puppy and seeing the views, it started to hail! After the random hail, I met some really nice guys from Chanidgarh who were showing me how much snow they saw earlier that morning. I continued walking down the hilly streets of Shimla until I arrived at the Book Cafe. I LOVE it there - all the employees are SO nice! After getting a hot coffee I saw the whole view of The Ridge. Then I walked past the two most famous buildings in Shimla - the church and the tudor style library before continuing to walk along the Ridge. While walking the Ridge I stumbled upon Bantony Castle. While I hadn't heard of this museum before, it was only 50 rupees to enter so I decided to go for it. It was actually a really interesting museum that taught me a lot about both Shimla as well as Himachal Pradesh! I then stopped at the viewpoint at Hotel Landmark where I met the most amazing mountain dogs ever!!! They were all so cute and even accompanied me on part of my walk! After walking along the road for a little, I found the nice walkway path to IIAS (Indian Institute of Advanced Study) in Shimla. I finally arrived at the Viceregal Lodge inside the IIAS complex. I was lucky that I arrived shortly before the last tour! Apparently you can only enter the Viceregal Lodge while on a tour and you can't take any pictures/videos inside the building. It was so nice thought and definitely worth it! I then walked back to Mall Road where I ate an amazing paneer wrap. It then started to storm! I returned to the Book Cafe to warm up with a tea when we lost power! After then it was tons of snow all night. I woke up the next morning to a gorgeous, white, snowy Shimla! It was such a cool experience to see so much snow in India!

    India has everything. 🌨️ ❄️ Snow..Mountains.. Lake's.. Forests . Desert 🏜️. It's like a mini continent. 🔥
  • I'm from Philippines. I never knew that there is a beautiful place like this in India, not until I saw this video. Great view and I like the architectures of buildings.
  • @BehtuSkg
I’m from Shimla!! This lady sure did justice to the place and the video
  • Finally someone is exploring other places rather than going to the shady lanes of Delhi. Please visit Sikkim, Kashmir, Coorg, Munnar. The comment section wouldn’t be able to fit the names of all the beautiful places in India.
  • @Rivertalk229
These type of Indian videos should get more likes and views.
  • Wow look a foreigner roaming in the actual tourism spots of India instead of polluted slums & dirty back alleys of delhi & mumbai. Thanks for not feeding to the stereotypes & showing the actual beauty of India to the world.
  • @lavista4u
India is very diverse, few countries on earth which has vast desert in Thar to snowfall, high mountains in himachal and oceans surrounding the landscape.
  • India is a very huge and diverse country in the world  🌏 28 state + 8 union territory = India (36) 🇮🇳 And many more indian island like Andaman Nikobar, Lakhyadeep etc..🙏🙏
  • I was born and brought up in Shimla. I have spent my entire life here. It has changed a lot over time. No vehicles are allowed in the main town. The narrow gauge Railway was brought here by the Britishers in 1903. I really liked your presentation of Shimla with camera eye. The Banteny castle was the Police Commissioner's office in 1960's. Adjacent complex is Grand Hotel. Thanks for rekindling the memories. I am 75 now. God bless you.

India has a lot more to offer than just Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Kerala and Goa. Shimla is awesome. Thanks
  • @dssoul
    Our Beautiful Shimla ❤
  • @xdadev
The India's diversity and beauty is both kinda amazing and insane tbh.
  • @Ozukovsky
The North-Eastern regions of India like Meghalaya, Mizroam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Sikkim, Assam will blow your mind as well. Very different from the general idea of India you might have. For example Meghalaya has the world's wettest place on earth (mawsynram), Asia's cleanest village (mawlynong), living root bridge (should be a wonder of the world), waterfalls, canyons with crystal blue water, cloud covered towns
  • Filmed everything so nicely... Specially night shoot... Your hardwork and honesty deserve more and more rating...
  • @thunderhaze8500
