I guess it's hard to see that 25mph speed limit sign when you're going 140mph.
  • @ejtamayo5317
The amount of confidence and trust with the car is like nothing else.

8 years later, and I still come back to watch this same video over and over again. One of the most intense pieces of driving ever filmed!

Sebastian Loeb ... truly one of the greatest drivers ever.
  • Makes me laugh all those comments about speed. Have you ever driven a car in real life not ps3 or 4 or whatever. Loeb makes a monster look easy. That's the thing. You go out there and try to control a 800 bhp monster and make it look like a sunday drive ! Funny how so many people think they drive better than a 9 times world rally champ !!!!
  • I wondered what the specs were, so I'm gonna leave them here There’s a 3.2-litre mid-rear mounted V6 bi-turbo engine with 875bhp, a six-speed sequential gearbox with steering wheel-mounted paddle-shifts, four-wheel-drive, pressurised dampers, double wishbones and pushrod/rocker arm actuation at all corners, torsion bars, anti-roll bars all round, and vented carbon brake discs front and rear - measuring in at 380mm (f) and 355mm (r) - hiding behind 18in magnesium alloy wheels “derived from F1 technology”. In fact, Peugeot is very proud of the fact this little Franken-208 packs more power than a modern Formula One car, tipping the scales at a frankly ludicrous 875kg. So yes, you’re right: it’s ruddy fast. 0-62mph takes just 1.8 seconds, 0-125mph takes 4.8 seconds and it’ll hit its 150mph top speed in just seven seconds flat.

I'm an F1 fan, but rallying is definitely the highest level of skill in motorsport. The only problem with this lap are the spectators.
  • @hhehe24
how is nobody mentioning the fact that he absolutely obliterated the previous record and improved by over 90 seconds
  • @Lemaure44
Imagine when his children are late to school ...
  • those long uphill blind turns, where all you can see is the horizon. fucking terrifying.
  • @mattorey5816
That spot where he bounces it off the rev limiter for a few seconds in 6th at 241kmh is just wild. Hats off, what an incredible drive.
  • @InfuriatedHawk
Lol 250 km/h up a winding mountain road. That takes...confidence.
  • @TheDidiwolf34
I like how Loeb just smatches that record by a minute and a half, and yet people are commenting about the altimeter...
  • "And don't forget there's 70% off for the Happy Hour at the Pike Peaks bar, ends in 10 min !" Loeb : "Ok let's do this"
  • @johnmorgan1629
People crossing the road, practicing for their Darwin awards.

Sebastien Loeb is the #1 Rally driver in history so far. Nobody comes close. It will be a while before anyone matches his resume. His skills and precision are out of this world. Professionalism at its best. A great guy and amazingly humble champion. Simply the best!
