Our recipe uses a blend of corn tortillas for an authentic taste, seasoned lean ground beef for the base, and a combination of refried beans and enchilada sauce for that perfect Mexican pizza sauce. But the real game-changer is our cheese selection - a luxurious mix of shredded Oaxaca (or its perfect substitute, Mozzarella), and cheddar, topped with heirloom tomatoes, olives, and green onions for a fresh finish.
We also explore alternatives for heirloom tomatoes and provide a detailed guide on how much water to mix with your taco seasoning for that perfectly seasoned meat. Whether you're a long-time fan of the fast-food version or looking for a new recipe to try at home, this video will show you how to create a Mexican pizza that's way better than what you can order at the drive-thru.
Full Recipe Details:
Start with pan-frying 8-inch corn tortillas to golden perfection.
Brown 1 lb of lean ground beef, seasoned with a homemade taco seasoning blend.
Layer your tortillas with refried beans, seasoned beef, and a generous helping of cheese.
Top with another tortilla, spread with enchilada sauce, and sprinkle with more cheese.
Bake until the cheese is bubbly, then garnish with fresh tomatoes, olives, and green onions.

On top of spaghetti all covered in cheese, I lost my poor meatball when I had to sneeze. It rolled off of the table and onto the floor and then my poor meatball rolled out of the door.

To get the most juice out of a lime or lemon, place in the microwave for 10 to 15 seconds depending on size, roll with the palm of your hand on the counter and let it rest for at least 1 minute before slicing. I generally give it several more turns with my hand just before using. ❤ing the videos, just subscribed, and so happy to have found a relatable home cook!

Bro, if this works out you will forever be my hero!

You get what you get and you don't throw a fit!

Those look yummy. I would suggest putting the enchilada sauce under the top tortilla. As soon as you pour a liquid over the tortilla, it's gonna start to get soggy. You may even want to try a thin layer of cheese on the bottom tortilla before adding the hamburger mixture to form a bit of a barrier between the saucy meat and the bottom tortilla. This won't affect the taste of the Mexican pizza, just keep the tortillas crispier.

Use La Victoria Enchilada Sauce as the main shortcut...and I personally use the Rosarito jalapeno refried beans... Also use pepper jack cheese...

I've been to that city in Mexico. It's pronounced wa-ha-ca ...nice recipe!! Roll the lime on the table before you cut/ peel it to get it juicier😊
-
Might try using Tostadas instead of frying tortillas. They are already fried and might not get soggy as much when baked in the oven.

I think a kickass potato pancake episode would be cool....

Dude, you crack me up!!! But yeah, good idea to leave the levelers alone while hot oil is smokin'. Now, onto the food! Love pizza, could eat a different kind of pizza every day of the week. This looks really good and I'll be trying it very soon. Thanks for sharing!!!

Yummy. Ty for sharing. I have to make some of these. I make quesadillas with flour or corn tortillas, no precooking, it just adds extra grease. Fold them in half as they cook. I mix a bit of salsa in the canned refried beans to make them spread easier, and I definitely use sour cream in all my Mexican dishes.
