While I love it here in Washington (having moved here from California more than two decades ago), and there's no personal income tax, Washington's cost of living is HIGH!! It's hard for us retirement-aged citizens to find affordable housing. The prices of utilities and insurance are high. The cost of food is ridiculous, especially for fresh food in the cold months. I live in Southern California. There is no way that I would ever want to lose it. I love the beach. I love about. I’m close enough that I could go camping and beautiful, beautiful places and since I live close to the beach, I’ve got all the happy people down there on the strand, our problem is too many people want to move to California and it’s making it so expensive but I think it is the most state in the United States as we do everything we can to help the poor with the limited resources that we have

It’s not right Utah is on this list & not Colorado. Colorado SHOULD be on this list. I’d move there at least! They don’t get even half as much rain & they are way more kind & honest & caring where I live. That State I live is Oregon. And it is at least good they aren’t on this list. Despite there not being Sales Tax in Oregon! That’s the only up side about them. There is way too many taxes aside that that makes them so bad. And it’s not just High Taxes that makes Oregon so bad!
