Demo song "Mysterie" (Girls of Grace) from 2017 set to images of "The Virgin Suicides" (2000)

A demo of a song called I think "Mysterie" (Girls of Grace) from a couple of years ago (2017)
the evolution of this song has been odd- it used to be a more straight and simple love song and at one point was tentatively called "Body Slam"-

Revisiting Sophia Coppola's sort of dark, terribly sad, but a bit twisted coming of age story "The Virgin Suicides" which really messed with my head when it first came out which I think was in 1999 or 2000. For some reason I imagine that Ari Aster might just call that movie as an inspirational one or maybe even a favorite. Anyway as I try to grow as a song writer I am playing with different styles and aesthetics. This particular song does not necessarily fit my current style but for some reason I come back to it from time to time and decided to just share it here.

Mysterie (Girls of Grace) Demo
written by Robb Donker

tender hands touch winter faces
the mannered gents posing for the special ones
kalaidescope of colors don't mean a thing
when you're gray
summer's been wasted
tins of lust tasted
right of spring chased away

And Gang of Four are calling
as the Girls of Grace are falling
in love.. hush hush
in love... hush hush

hidden treasure buried in your heart
suffering twisted like a tangle root of a tree
summer been wasted
tins of lust tasted
rights of spring chased away

And Gang of Four are calling
as the Girls of Grace are falling
in love.. hush hush
in love... (hush hush)
