I have checked with the writer/director (Patrick Read Johnson) re: my observations of his film 5-25-77 and he told me that he never placed them there on purpose. Thus, these "Easter eggs" are my own idea and are offered for their entertainment value. I highly recommend this movie as it is one of my recent favorites. I'll add that the "HAL" closeup is shown twice within a couple of minutes. Also, there is an alien mask that "Patrick" (John Francis Daley) wears in the film and in 1955 Marty is mistaken for an ET.

    Darell Phillips, it is possible that the Easter Eggs you and I find are placed by a higher intelligence. "Forgive them father, for they know not what they do." ;)
