19:22 Shane's smile to his dad's answer is beautiful. The love between father and son.
  • Boy oh boy, Pat, I 😮really hope that you are person enough to be ashamed of this interview. I take my hat, and all the hats I can find, off to Shane and his parents. You have no idea how I respect this man's patience for sitting, pensive, but quietly during this horrible interrogation. Rest in Peace, love. And it must be peace to get away from such crap. Hats off to Shane 👼👼

This man was a legend, an absolute one off. Reast easy mate, lived your life the way you wanted and never changed for no one while being dignified and well mannered no matter how the media tried to shame you😎👌
  • However people perceived Shane he never hurt anybody only ever himself! God bless!!

That interview was so embarrassing on National Television. Shane was subjected to continuous personal questions. Shane you were a brilliant poet songwriter musician singer and entertainer. Your parents were so supportive. You are a kind and generous man. We all love you Shane R.I.P. ❤❤❤❤❤❤.

Pat Kenny the biggest clown of a man. How was he ever given this show - absolutely donkey. RIP Shane a genius
  • So you invite Shane macgowan onto your show to put in a sound performance!! Then bring then man over to your sofa to talk about his personal life and problems!! You can clearly see Shane is a kind man don't expose him, praise him for his success and poetry that made him great!

And also, Shanes old pair sitting amongst the smug/disapproving arse faces, and then coming out with pure truth and calling out the BS. Legends of the legend.

Musical genius, funny and very straightforward & honest. Comes off way better than the guy interviewing him

I fecking hate this kind of bullying. They invite him on, ask him about his music ffs, don't harangue him about drugs and booze. Almost every Shane interview goes like this. He loves a beer, we all know that, talk to him like a human and not a fecking science experiment. Boils my piss it really does.

despite the horror of mr kenny's approach, a valuable time here, and the definition of great parents, full of love and sense and pride.
  • Kudos to Shane for keeping cool, calm and collected during this interview that had a condescending tone from the beginning . Instead of trying to focus on his substance abuse issues, the interviewer should have been focused on his music. And Shane's parents are so supportive of him during this witch trial of an interview.

Aside from some seriously stupid questions from the interviewer, this is a wonderful interview to watch. I feel sorry for Sinead - but hearing Shane's parents speak at length is sheer pleasure.
  • @dollyG1968
His parents are properly supportive-Its good to see -Fly high Shane you beautiful man-thanks for the music -the words and the humour

Shane has such a kind heart, it’s amazing how his addictions didn’t cloud this. Ultimately he spoke and sung his truth I think this honesty preserved and prevented the alcohol from attacking his spirit and soul.
