Thank you for that side by side. I kept feeling that EA WRC had almost no lateral suspension movement. And this side by side by basically confirmed it. Look at how dynamic the chassis movement is in WRCG compared to EA WRC. It feels like the car's suspension is summarized into a single central point, rather than 4 points with one at each wheel.

Generations > EA wrc not even close

Yeah I hear you. I had about 300 hours in DR2.0 before I started wanting more, tried WRC9 and was blown away. People were always dogging on KT too for the handling model but I was like psshhh dude the tarmac plus the stages plus the weightiness of the cars just did it for me. WRC10 was eh content wise but Generations was really the final send off "best mix" of the games, graphics polished almost all the stages and cars tossed in. btw it really does look better than EA WRC, and more importantly RUNS better too. Switiching to UE was a disaster for codies and I wonder if EA had a hand in it.
  • Not a single "SIM-Racing" Content creator from the "big ones" mentioned in their videos the bad FFB, wheel delay behaviour. All these "tests" are bought. Seems as this is a much worse experience in contrast to the "happy youtubers" with their paid content.

Thanks KT for all these years. Finally, codemasters has shown us how hard is to maje a good rally game or how bad codemaster has made his job. Talking about David vs Goliat… Unbelievable how bad is ea wrc. Probably the worst rally game ever released…

As for graphics, when you look to Mexico, in wrc generations it looks amazing. In ea wrc it looks really previous Gen. The tarmac physics are still better in wrc generations. For the content I really like ea wrc but in some stages I looks a lot worse than wrc generations. That's a shame. Compare to dirt rally 2.0, ea wrc is a downgrade in difficulty, but that's OK, a lot more people will enjoy it. For me personal, I could of been a bit more difficult / challenging.

It is not on UE5, still using UE4 (a version of .2xxx). Explaining the "current gen" look. Also means a lot of things can be done tweaking the engine on your end side of things to make it look the best for your config.

As soon as i got to my very 1st stage on EAs game i thought ok, it looks just like dirt rally which has that grainy, dusk, yellowish look to it and then after playing my 1st stage for about 5min i was like oooh yep it definitely feels like dirt rally with the very boring looking stages full of trees everywhere and thats it, also the graphics are definitely from last gen no question about that but, i did like the handling and the sounds which is very important in a rally game. Wrc 10 and generations i love them! I still play generations every now and then just to feel like im in a real rally stage 😎
  • I was wondering how on earth Codemasters would even match the incredible work (in terms of stages) Kylotonn did before them. Sounds like they failed on that front. That studio really has shown Codies up in a few areas. It's amazing when you think how average Kylotonn's early efforts were. You'd never even mention them in relation to Dirt Rally.
  • @OsirisPL
Good honest opinion man! I also was underwhelmed with the graphics and then I found out that the game actually uses Unreal Engine 4 not 5. EA tried to obfuscate this info and avoided admitting that the "nexgen" game uses 9 year old engine.
  • @BARONGROD
Like I said go check dirt 3 out over 10 years older and some of it looks better then Wrc especially the crowds
  • @MartoVPR
@3:00 mark, you had me nodding at the screen. This, this is 100% the whole idea of rally is one pass recon, second at speed. Thats it. Thankyou for mentioning this!
  • So your video made me go back and play some generations to compare for myself. I absolutely love the new EA WRC but I just finished a quick stage in generations and was immediately captivated by the stage and just how the car feels through the wheel. You may have just soured the EA WRC experience for me😂😂😂
  • Wrc 10 Gives this game a run for its money. I do like the EA game, don’t get me wrong. It’s just funny hearing the Dirt Rally stans change their tune on graphics now, “ who cares about visuals when you’re blurring by”
  • First thing I thought when seeing the EA stages was "boring". KT stages are spectacular and VERY hard to master. Thanks for your review.

WRC 10 👉🏻 if you are struggling with the car control with a a controller , try this ⚙️ controller settings, select sensitivity to 0 left & right - before start a race after select your car and track , go car setup and …Suspensions - Springs to 27500 - Shock absorber compression 3000 - Shock absorber rebound 2500 - Ground clearance 28 - Camber and Anti-roll bar to Zero 0 . Every time the co-pilot call a third gear pull the breaks 1.5 seconds before enter the curve , 4 gear 1 second , all if you are 5gear or above in speed… also in high speed you can pull 1 second break in the ramp before a jam in high speed , helps not loose control after the jump , you have to save the settings for each car you drive before the race , after I found this settings , WRC 10 became so pleasant to play , it works better in WRC 2 and WRC cars and some extra cars , the short ones ..easier to spin ..Subaru and célica works great as well .
  • On console (PS5) the game stutters and has huge framerate drops. In some places (like Kenya) the framerate drop is bad enough to be game breaking and cause a massive headache after just some minutes of playing.
  • totally agree there is something in WRC games that feels more right, even as simulation of the car.
  • The stages in EA WRC just feel… monotonous…. In WRCG the stages feel like they’re actually set in fleshed out location. The ironic thing here is that the cars in WRCG behave like the cars in the original Dirty Rally (2015 ); they’re like bucking broncos which you have to tame… the cars in EA WRC have pretty much no pitch or roll… and feel really “numb” to drive…
