Lionel Messi completed his career - he finally won the World Cup. There are no more arguments: he is the greatest footballer of all-time. He dominated the World Cup 2022, scored 7 goals, had the most assists, most man of the match awards and received the player of the tournament award, even though he is already 35 years old. This video shows the road to the trophy in an emotional and cinematic way.

  • 4 finals lost, 1 crucial penalty missed, retirement, then coming back to win the Copa America , Finalissima and now WORLD CUP. Perseverance, sweat, blood, tears. What a story.🐐

    Anyone still watching in 2024???

It was the best World Cup, the best final, but it felt like Messi was fulfilling his destiny. Stressful, painful, heartbreaking and euphoric at the same time. The messiah wrote his own dynasty

Messi winning the world Cup for me is one of the best memories of my life. No matter how shitty my life is, that night of December 18 had me crying with joy.

The greatest player ever in the history of football 🐐👽🇦🇷

Grew up idolising Ronaldo with the whole family while our dad was the only supporter of Messi. We used to exchange rants and banters against each other within limits knowing how they meant to us but during the night of the final for the whole match I rooted for Mbappe and France but when it went to ET somehow i started to support the Argentinian understanding the hardwork, patience and commitment he showed cause thats why our dad supports him cause he saw himself in Messi, turning from no one to somebody. This guy truly made many of his haters turn into fans. Whether you like it or not it's a fact. Don't have all the arrogance to say he's not the greatest anymore. A true gem. Glad I witnessed him.

That lady has to be sent by the gods. Saying those words to Leo, before the final even played must have relieved so much pressure from his shoulders, a nation expecting him to do the impossible, a world wanting him to prove himself and end the debate. You can see the happiness and tears in his eyes..

Messi after Saudi Arabia: "My message to the supporters is to have faith, we won't let you down, we are going to win" the most honored speech in the history of this sport

The greatest final I have ever seen. I burst into tears at that night. A true legend of football. Love you Messi. Love you Scaloni. Love you Argentina
  • That goal against Mexico. I've never seen Messi celebrate like that. Watching it gives me goosebumps to this day.

Emi Martinez can retire today and still be a legend in my eyes. His save at the last shot will never be forgotten as long as football lives.
  • @CarloCalamar
1 year to the day since Leo lifted the World Cup, the best player of all time for eternity !!

That save from Martinez vs france is legendary

The greatest redemption arc i've seen in football. The greatest story this century.

He was the greatest before the World Cup. I'm in my 30's and was lucky enough to see Messi in his prime as well as CR7 etc. Messi is in a league of his own and you can debate who comes second.
