  • Install Hero Wars FOR FREE before October 31 ✅ clik.cc/Sin5x and get a chance to win some amazing prizes! 🎃 Let's open a portal to the Dominion together! I never really talk about Nintendo stuff, but I couldn't resist going all in on the Gamecube. I think I got all the major hitters here, but let me know if there's a cool forgotten game I should bring up in the future! Also hey, happy almost halloween. halloween video coming next week hurray
  • Fun fact I like to throw around whenever Baten Kaitos is mentioned: the WR of the 100% speedrun for the first game is.... 337h. HOURS.
  • @aortaplatinum
I can't believe this man had an entire segment on Go! Go! Hypergrind, included the Jam Jam Hype vocal theme, all without mentioning or referencing RebelTaxi once
  • @ComicDrake
God I fucking love Custom Robo. I still sometimes have little parties where my friends and I meet up to play.
  • @JohnDoe-wq5eu
The GameCube was the last time you got both "power" and unique with games from Nintendo. It's amazing how it's seconds life has been becoming one of the most popular retro consoles ever and one where the prices for the fairly hard to find games are ridiculous. Still if you can play them in some way or another so many are still worth it and still so good.
  • @hayterfan
Fun fact: most of the voice talent for Giest was from a local radio station here in Florida (104.1 for reference) some of whom I believe are still there today.
  • Bloody Roar Extreme still has a competitive scene. That game goes HARD
  • @ohhiaustin
I replay Baiten Kaitos every few years, it has such a great aesthetic, characters, and music, even if the voice acting was recorded in a cave. Origins has always been on my ‘to play’ list but apparently the two are pretty different. Loving the content lately! :)
  • GCN, while commercially was comparatively unsuccessful, I still appreciated how well it catered to Nintendo fans.

  • That stupid little throwaway joke at 5:55 actually got me into Grizzly and the Go Go Hypergrind soundtrack which now plays in my car on the regular.
  • @ParityS
I'm so glad someone else remembers and enjoys Battalion Wars. I absolutely adored those games, and I remember spending hours with my older brother just watching him play.
  • @RocketSlug
I had a subscription to Nintendo Power during this period so I was exposed to a lot of these obscure games. You covered all the ones that I could think of except for Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg
  • @Tksupreme
Gotcha Force, Custom Robo, and Lost Kingdoms 1 & 2 were all childhood favorites of mine. Mad props to my friends back then for playing the multiplayer modes with me, even if they weren't really all that fleshed out in most cases lol
  • @ryansmith2334
I've been waiting years for a YouTuber to talk about Gotcha Force. THE most underrated game on the gamecube and maybe even in general imo. Thank you so much for bringing some attention to this game
  • @GlossyCandle
Always nice to see Cubivore mentioned somewhere. I've always been interested in evolution, so after seeing a small mention of it in a magazine as a kid, I had to have it. I'm so glad that I kept my copy!
  • @meatloaf7939
Man I LOVED Marvel Nemesis. I had completely forgotten that game, you just unlocked a core memory in me
  • @chaotixxs
Custom Robo, Gotcha Force, and Geist, all games with some great multiplayer. I'm happy I still own all of them. I'm just sad you didn't mention the ridiculous multiplayer elements of Gotcha Force like the trade system, the partial borg crystals, loading multiple memory cards so each player has their own teams, it was odd but great, though almost impossible to 100%.
  • @bosH0g
My favourite weird Gamecube game is Ribbit King. It's incredibly entertaining at parties. I'm surprised it doesn't have the following most GC games have.
  • @Ichigo111293
Another thing about Custom Robo is that it’s just really funny. There were several parts in that game where the characters made me laugh out loud.
