He was a very thoughtful and caring person. One of my father's business associates was staying at the same hotel in the Cross in Sydney (Australia) in the 60's when Dave Allen was in town and my dad was fortunate enough to have lunch with them one day. My dad told Dave Allen about how his wife, Pamela, was crazy about him and he phoned her up a had a short chat with her. She's 96 now and says he even made her laugh on the phone; she was over the moon about it. He gave three autographed photos to my dad for his three children, which we cherished. That is an example of how he could make people laugh in any situation, but more importantly what a truly nice man he was. Very fondly remembered. :virtualhug:

I am now unsubscribing as most of what you have said in this video is verging on slander, No. 1, Mr Allen was married to a lady called Judith Stott from 1964 to 1983 and they had a son and daughter. He married Karin Stark in 2003 and she gave birth to their son 3 weeks after her husband's death. No. 2 He did not have a stroke at any time and was never in a wheelchair. No. 3 He died peacefully in his sleep from a sudden cardiac arrest and not from pneumonia. You should be thoroughly ashamed of yourself for reporting such complete and utter rubbish.

Greatest comedian ever produced by Ireland. I was a student in 70s in England and he was my most favourite comedian. I still watch him on utube and all my friends who were studying with me still exchange his old clips available on utube . He will be missed for as long as I live .love from pakistan ❤

If you are going to talk about Dave Allen's cause of death, at least get it right! His death was caused by Sudden arrhythmic death syndrome. Odd to use pictures of Maggie Smith, when talking about Allen's wife. He didn't suffer a stroke, nor was he confined to a wheelchair.

Dave Allen began dating Karin Stark in 1986, and married her in 2003. The couple had a son, Cullen, who was born three weeks after Allen's death

What made Dave Allen famous was the fact he was always smoking a cigarette and drinking a whiskey and soda whilst giving his monologues, made you feel like you were sitting in a pub having a chat with him, but you just listened, he was unique, Im certain he would have considered both carr and boyle a pair of unfunny politically correct tossers.

"He had 2 children: Edward & Jane." "He left behind his wife and 3 children Jane, Edwina & Jonathan." Which is correct???
