Him giving the coke and leaving is him showing he’s willing to play ball with Logan even if publicly he might be critical of ATN - the Vice President was too proud to make a simple gesture of fealty, but Mencken did it to show that he’s willing to play along

This scene gives me the chills seeing it one year after.

Logan gives Greg a Coca Cola while a presidential candidate brings Logan a Coca Cola. Hmm

Roman : Trying to convince Logan Shiv : Trying to dissuade Logan Logan : Deciding with Kerry to do what he wants
  • 1:09 -- Good God. After everything so far with the fourth season prior to the finale, this smile/exchange between Logan and Kerry just hits so hard. Logan liked Kerry cause she just got it.

This is what I love about the writing of Succession: it's never lazy. No ten-dollar words, no super-human eruditions, but somehow they always manage to say things in an interesting way. "Climate said I was going down. Climate said I should just step aside." A beat. "I guess I'm a climate denier."

Can’t wait to re-watch this whole show - feels like they mapped it out from S1E1

Roman is crazily good at running ATN, Mencken really gets them a lot of viewers.
  • Logan was like, Mencken's cool, I need to go clap some cheeks now, deuces ✌️🤣
  • I don’t think there is any character in the history of television who thinks they are smarter than they really are than shiv.

That CocaCola is getting $12 billed to the room.

Somebody looked at me like at 1:11, I'd invade France if they asked me to.
  • Everyone Roman brings on the table is always the real deal. I bet his Sage Guy is op af too.
  • This is the moment where I really started to take Roman seriously!
