I gotta say, this is one of the most greatest ways to end a game. First off, you play 1979 by Smashing Pumpkins, and you drive so slow in one of the most longest and nostalgic maps (for me). How could this get any friggin' better?

10 years anniversary to one of the best racing games ever
-
This song meets the atmosphere of the end credits so well. Especially helping to embrace the peacefulness of the Nürburgring, which it looks
-
I want to go to Japan, rent a car, drive the route while listening to the piano piece...
-
Nostalgia hits harder than a GT-R barrelling down the Nordschleife
-
The second song was the exact same ending from Gran Turismo 3 for Arcade Mode.

The End Of GT5 You Can (Not) Removed Standard Cars

That first song is Darude - Sandstorm Nah I'm just fucking with ya. If you don't know it I feel bad for you son. I got 99 problems but not knowing 1979 by Smashing Pumpkins ain't one.

I like to believe that GT4, GT5 and GT6's endings are all shot at the same time, GT4 is the ariel shot, GT5 is the bumper camera and GT6 is the cockpit view
-
LOL they legit played Jesus Bleibet Meine Freude in the 2nd half, just like End of Evangelion. Excellent choice of soundtracks.
-
I wanna drive my red bull x2010 while listening to this at nurburgring in a sunset.
-
Gave me chills when I realised it’s 1979, too bad it plays half way through the game instead of when you finish every event, that would have been more powerful.
-
The Nurburgring part is incredible.
-
1979 by Smashing Pumpkins tops off completing this amazing game
-
When you finish your career in gt5 you then start tokyo xtreme racer lol.
-
This ending was epic! I remember getting the Platinum trophy too for GT5... it was the toughest platinum of all my 90ish Platinums.
-
Just fished my old PS3 out of storage to play some GT and was delighted to unlock this for the first time ten years after I started putting hours into the game.
-
This video brings so much memories...

Bought the game Day 1, unlocked this ending two months ago. Gran Turismo isn't a game, it's clearly something else. How the hell a racing game could give you feelings?
-
one of best intro and one of best endings
