4 houses maybe a ways off from owning the whole street but it’s certainly a start! Thrilled to know that the Club are quietly planning for further expansion and it’s good that they’re taking a more friendly approach. Thanks for the update.
  • That was brilliant information.im 53 next march & would be delighted to see the KOP redeveloped & a new tier on KDS in my lifetime.imagine the KOP done in the same facade as the annie rd & main stand it would be incredible.

Smashing update that Kev cheers. I’ve always said that one of the most famous stands in the world should not be the smallest in its own ground. The two new stands look brand new compared to the SKD and the Kop which look so old now. The ground looks disproportionate from the air. Making the SKD stand more comfortable and modernising the roof would be great. Also can you imagine an expanded Kop the same size or bigger than the Anfield road? Would absolutely terrify the life out of opposition teams if they could get the capacity up to 80 thousand. It seems like the club have been planning this for a long time, as it wouldn’t have made any sense to expand two stands, and leaving the other two alone in such a crammed tight space.

Interesting...we need drones view around the kop now...possibly move the road to where the houses etc are to make room for kop expansion....😮
  • When you look around the ground, it's not hard to see how they are secretly buying up properties for future expansion. They are keeping it low key for very obvious reasons and I would fully expect them to play down any future expansion until they have acquired everything

Club as big as Liverpool needs to upgrade the stadium more !! its gonna be hard but its not impossible we have 2024 not 1960 ! they need to find some solutions and expand at least one more stand.. lets Hope they gonna do it ! time will tell

Kev, I’ve been watching your updates since day 1. All the drone guys are brilliant, but your knowledge of the sorrounding area and a potential expansion of the other two stands sets you apart. I’m sure I speak for most of us when I say this is brilliant news and the more info you can pass on the better. It’s very much appreciated. I’ve personally been waiting for this news for a long time. The club simply must make moves on the other two stands otherwise the stadium will not look right. Money talks.. and it will happen eventually. I could be wrong.., but the land registry will give details of ownership? I think it’s public record. Please keep the info coming matey! Love your work 👍🏻
  • Looking like a Walton Breck Road reroute. That triangular land not being built on. The boarded houses you show. The church you mention. All ripe for demolition and a reroute. Leaves plenty of room behind the Kop. The road could be completed long before a redevelopment of the Kop. All while leaving the current Walton Breck Road open.
  • Nice one Kev,it’s great to hear that the club are looking at both the Koop & KDS.Its excellent to think of the Kop being next YNWA
  • Super interesting, ta for the gen. Tinned up houses not good short term let's at reduced rates better option as it keeps the area alive. Thanks as always bud.YNWA.
  • There is only about 20 houses on the stadium side of road offer every resident 30-50k above market value they will take it in this economy it would cost about £3.5/4m to buy every house in the street pennies to us make that back in 2 home games
  • Can see the road getting redirected in order to expand the Kop..A new, bigger Kop would be amazing
  • Fascinating video KC (July 16th) and greatly appreciated. Thank you. However, music was loud and sometimes couldn't make out all the detail of the content. Thanks again though, and always enjoy watching your Anfield videos. (Steve, in Weymouth)

Thanks for the update, very interesting. I hope it'll be the KDS that is first expanded, as I would prefer to keep the Kop as it is for as long as poss. Over the years, i've watched most of the games, of the few that i've managed to get a ticket for, from the Kop, and I like the cosy sort of feeling I get there, opposed to the feeling of being a bit lost in the big and cold Main Stand, that will surely one day be renamed, the Jurgen Klopp Stand (btw, spelt with the two dots over the U in Jurgen), to honour what that great man has done for our Club, the City and it's people, and still is with his new Foundation appointment. If that should not be the case, then we should have a Bronze, equvilant to that of the Shankly statue It's interesting to see that the majority of comments here would prefer a Kop expansion before the KDS?! I'd say by doing the KDS first, we could raise the capacity faster and easier than tackling the more complicated Kop, due to the Walton Breck being a busy, and more important/difficult road to navigate when building.
  • It would be great if the club can get permission from the council and buy up all the houses around the stadium and then expand the Sir Kenny stand to be a mulitier which is massive and the Kop similar to the Yellow wall at Dortmund so we hit like 80 or more capacity and make Anfield the second largest stadium in England and it gets used for Euros and any major games that are not club ones and also make it a hub for concerts etc similar to what Real Madrid have done.
  • The Kop certainly seems the obvious choice next. Maybe take up the overall capacity to about 66k. It’s too small now, whilst it should be the focus of the entire stadium, plus with only a few low value properties to buy, it should be very achievable.
  • Thank you fot the update Kev. Stay safe mate 🙏 YNWA
