Previously critical of human rights issues in Jammu and Kashmir, Shehla faced sedition charges over tweets against Indian army. She served as the vice-president of JNUSU in 2015–16, was a member of AISA, and completed her graduation from NIT Srinagar.

The short summary of this whole podcast is "Well I stood for Kashmirs independence coz I thought bjp would not be able to get away with the abrogation. But now that they successfully have, and we have become officially Indian, I'm looking for job opportunities coz my previous political activism has no career progression, and is no longer popular or vote garnering. I can relate with her. As I started consuming political content, I became a hater of modi and BJP all thanks to dhruv rather and akash banerjee's videos. But gradually I understand that they are just manipulating the viewers and they themselves are being just biased and spread hate.
