Beretta DT11 X-Trap Overview

I purchased a second hand Beretta DT11 X-trap as an early Christmas present. I noticed the instruction manual was sorely lacking and there was very little good info online. So I give an overview of the gun and a closer look at its features. I discuss the adjustable rib, detachable trigger, and some of the other features which might leave you with some head scratching. I also discuss the timing of the ejectors which were a tiny bit out on this second hand gun. Hopefully this will be a benefit to people who are thinking of buying or who have purchased and are unsure how to get set up.

I work for a Beretta holdings owned company but I bought this gun with my own money as I wanted to represent the brand while enjoying my hobby. I am an ex armourer and pro rifle shooter in the defence sector but I am certainly not an expert in clay shooting or sporting shotguns. My advice is to seek advice on setup from an instructor and a gunsmith for repair and service.

  • Congratulations on your new DT-11. I have had mine for 10 years and love it. If you move the trigger by removing the little screw, be VERY CAREFUL as there is a little detent ball that secures it where you want it. They can fall out without you knowing and the trigger will just slide back and forth no matter how tight the screw is. Ask me how I know!! Good luck and enjoy.

I am not a expert on guns, but I have to admit that it’s a thing of beauty

Love my DT 11 Black . Very well made video, I recognized the ejector timing issue, but its realy nothing to get concerned about.

You picked a very top shelf trap gun.. I own a Perazzi mx2000 which I think is close in quality. If I had seen a DT 11 prior to buying my Perazzi I think I'd have gone with the DT11 over the perazsi. Good shooting with your gun.

This was my dream DTL gun untill I saw the DT11 step rib. But an unfired s/h XTrap is 2/3's the price of a step rib.

Great video. Why does my gun shoot so high? No matter how I adjust it, I cannot get it to shoot less than 100/0.
