As serious and intense as this scene is, the “SNITCH!” gets me every time.

“You don’t belong here, you never did” Gotta feel for miles in that moment, he’s spent this whole movie searching for acceptance from these people who he aspires to be like, only to be rejected by them in the most harsh way possible.

The best part about Miguel's whole spiel is that he's basically projecting. Everything he accuses Miles of being, he secretly thinks about himself.

4:47 - the music, the realisation that Miles isn't just running scared, that everyone's been underestimating him - Miguel trying to pull away but Miles keeping him there, the amount of self-confidence and determination then the quiet "Nah... Imma do my own thing..." I will tear up with pride for this character every single time.

"we are supposed to be the good guys" damn that line destroyed every single spider person in the room, specially Miguel, him repeating "we are!!" really drives home that even he isn't sure he's doing the right thing anymore.
  • the passion behind the "your a mistake" then that chokeslam afterwards is just brutal
  • "You're just a kid who has no idea what he's doing!" To be fair, Miguel, a lot of the Spider-People were like that at one point in their lives

Miguel really has lost his way. He’s not even technically wrong with his viewpoint. Miguel suffered his own losses and feels immense guilt over what he did and he is trying in his own way to right the wrongs he committed. Yeah you can’t save everyone, not even Spider-Man can save everyone. But you know what makes Spider-Man great? He tries anyways. If he fails he doesn’t give up trying to save everyone and more often than not Spider-Man always finds a way and pulls a miracle.

Miguel's role in the movie was so well-done. His near-bursting rage throughout the movie kept me at the edge of my seat, and there were a lot of times where I actually feared for Miles because I genuinely thought Miguel was gonna lose it and shred him apart.

You tell Miles his father’s about to die, then it would be unrealistic to expect him to not try to save his father, knowing he already lost his uncle.
  • 3:07 If you look closely when Miles glitches, you can see him glitch into himself wearing the Spider-Man costume he bought from Stan Lee in the first movie

People always say "you can't have your cake and eat it too" but it's so refreshing to hear someone ask why not. Too many give up for what is easy and not what is true to themselves

4:31 Miguel’s line “You’re just a kid that has no idea what he’s doing” is interesting — that’s fair to describe most versions of Spider-Man when they first got their powers: most were kids that had no idea what they were doing until their “canon events” (ex. Uncle Ben) happened

I think people are misunderstanding Miles. He's not saying saving the Spiderverse isn't important, he's just not gonna sacrifice an innocent person, especially if that person is his father, to do so. Like Peter in Edge of Time said "What's important is not standing by and letting innocent people suffer or die, because you do nothing" For clarification for those still confused, that quote means that Spider-Man shouldn't just let someone die. If Miles tries to save his dad and fails, the canon event plays out and everything is fine. But Miguel is saying he should just let his dad die and not do anything about it, which is not what being Spider-Man is about

4:52 I love the proud reaction Peter had here and Miles' smile after baiting Miguel and everyone else
  • @RenzyTheGreat
3:46 Miles in fear and panicking actually looks down to where Peter is and calls out for his help as Miguel berates him. A small detail I missed a couple of times rewatching this amazing movie.
  • @silverhawk24
8:00 I love how Peter just looks at Gwen like "I didn't know this fucker was this insane". He ain't holding my kid again 😂
  • One part that gets me is Gwen saying "I didn't know... how to tell you." One part of her clearly wanted to end the sentence in the first part but she just couldn't keep lying.
  • @lilywhisperer
Love the fact that Miles was being genuine when he said “I have a plan, I just haven’t you told you it yet” because he did have a plan. Also the “No! You’re lying, I’m Spider-Man!” just reminds me of how young he is and how fucked up this whole situation is, idk man, it’s something about his tone.
