Peggy's garden is what I imagine "MY" heaven will be like. The house is beautiful but, for me, it could have a 900 square foot cabin and I wouldn't care...it's the gardens that I loved.

You two always make Sundays even better. I look forward to starting my Sunday morning with you every week. Thank you.

Laura, my grandparents lived on a rather large chunk of land in Northeast Louisiana, zone 8a. Since our mamaw left us this year I have been blessed with the opportunity to live in their home and have all this space to try and make beautiful. Many times watching your videos I am so jealous because we cannot plant things like blacklace elderberries or coral berries and often times I dreamily stare at the snowy landscape pictures you post. However you just made me remember that as ordinary as things are to me, there are still things here that others never get to experience. Washing dishes at the kitchen sink I'm able to watch many cardinals feeding all throughout the day and during summertime we have all the fireflies anyone could possibly want. I also know that there are actually many plants that I could grow here that wouldnt thrive in your conditions that you would probably love to have in your garden. At times we all want what someone else has and take for granted what is right in front of us. Thank you for reminding me that what I have here and have grown up with is pretty special all on it's own 😊

Yes Peggy's was a stunner. I immediately went out and started limbing up our little woodlands. So inspirational!!!!!

Good morning guys, I just wanted to thank you for all of the useful knowledge that you gave me. I got outside by 5am today to do some planting and my deer Chloe showed up for an apple. She doesn’t bother with the gardens as she has plenty to eat here. I love how trusting she is with me. I just thought I’d share this with you.

A suggestion for marking plant tags - use a #2 pencil. My Mom used to use one for all of her mum cuttings and they are STILL on the plant tags almost 15 years later. In fact, I have several tags where I used the garden marker to write over it and the garden marker washed off and the pencil is still there! I've been using a mechanical pencil for the last couple of years and have had NO issues with the names either washing off or fading and I can erase the name and reuse the tag if I wish. Such a simple and CHEAP solution!

I love your recaps. You and Aaron are a great couple. I look forward to seeing your videos every morning (except Saturday) and love starting my day with you. Thank you and have a blessed day everyone.
  • Hi Laura and Aaron, I live straight west of Chicago on the opposite side of the state near the Mississippi. You were in Illinois at the perfect time. This has been and unusual July. Generally we are in. The mid to upper 90,s and Humid. This year our weather has been a gift. So happy you were here after e rains and before the heat. It has made for some beautiful yards and gardens. So sorry we missed the meet and greet😢. We have an aquascape stream and pondless waterfalls. It’s the best part of our yard. My husband put it in 15 years ago when we built our home and Aquascape was really just getting going. Now we need to travel east and visit their headquarters. Thanks for the videos of the amazing gardens. ❤

Peggy seemed like the consummate hostess. Her garden was beyond amazing! I'm so glad she offered to share it with you, and all of us.

Love your conversation back and forth, and especially your smiles. You both are photogenic and have very infectious smiles. I find myself smiling back at you.

Ladybugs are great aphids eaters. We had a tree full of aphids, and it looked awful. Bought 300, followed instructions. Within about 2 weeks, they were completely gone, and our tree after a month looks beautiful. And I saw them on my flowers. Happy I am. 😊

Great recap video. So fun to see Laura & Aaron's enthusiasm for the Aquascape tour & all the Chicago gardens. How refreshing to hear the honesty of "Why do we live here?!" while lamenting the July heat & firestorms. Sending love & healing vibrations to stop the fires & clear the air.

I had the privilege of meeting you in Illinois. I enjoyed seeing you IRL. Embarrassingly, I was a little star struck. Got to have a lovely conversation with Aaron. He was so kind and so approachable. The whole event far exceeded my expectations. The gardens were over the top. Their respective gardeners a joy to talk with. Greg was a marvelous host and Aquascapes is beyond description. I was overwhelmed, a kid in a candy shop. I think my favorite was that enormous snapping turtle! Since this was my event for the summer, I splurged and stayed at the Herrington also. Wasn't it a marvelous place? Hope you had a good experience there too. It was just wonderful to meet you, Aaron and Kevin (He is a lovely fellow, he gave me a shout out for my 14 hour drive. LOL) Thank you as always for all the inspiration and the way you are able to connect with people. You and Aaron are one of a kind.

I just watched the Q&A when Benjamin was a baby!!!! So much fun to watch! Someone asked, what you would love to have. You wanted a large cut flower garden and Aaron wanted an expensive camera! Your dreams came true!
  • Thank you Laura and Aaron for creating your cannel. It is so inspiring, educational and entertaining. I can’t tell you how so very pleased I am that you finally got to see a cardinal. It broke my heart a couple of years ago when I learned that you had never seen one. I live in the foothills of NC where cardinals are very common and I think of you every time I see one. You have a beautiful life, beautiful family and beautiful gardens. I pray you will continue to be blessed.
  • @vickiebrannon5217
Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the hard work you do to share your garden, your knowledge, and your precious family.
  • @Blake.Cooper
Possible idea for the Garden Answer Store. I think you should create a Garden Answer calendar. 12 photos of your garden in different areas throughout the seasons. I would display one by my desk at home and one in my classroom! Just a thought. I love watching your success unfold! Have a great week GA Team!

I’m so stoked that you guys had such a good time. I know you don’t get to go on many vacations so a super fun “work” trip is a blessing. Thank you for taking us along! Your garden will get there!!! PS Your comment section is such a lovely read. Gardener’s are such a beautiful group of souls.

I never ever miss one of your videos…but I find myself getting so drawn in and interested that I forget to “ like” and comment’ that I often have to go back to do the liking and comment. Love how consistent and enjoyable your videos are. 👍👍👍

Sweet friends, you have always been so transparent about the care of your property. We appreciate your guidance and recognize that not everything is foolproof, but a general scenario and jumping off point for us. I think a video on suppressing pests would be appreciated. I am learning so much about the care of my garden with your wisdom. We appreciate you!❤
