Man, that girl only wants one thing. The most reckless driver she can find.

Perfect. Clear video, in stereo, right to the gameplay..., and NO yippity yap commentary. Thank you!
  • My local arcade had this game, and it happened to have its volume turned up high. The first time I put a quarter in, I knew this game wasn't joking around when it blared that GLORIOUS opening music through its speakers. I still get goosebumps when I hear it. Too bad it isn't there anymore...at least they still have OutRunners.

aah, this harkens back to my memories as a child on those long road trips through the atlanta desert...

3:52 that mechanic is a beast, carrying the engine with one hand.

Awesome game!. I spent tons of quarters playing this one in the arcades growing up. Ahhhhh!! the good old days. The 80s were so awesome.

Man, I sank sooooo much money into these machines, especially the sit-down cabinets. I must have singlehandedly paid the arcade's electric bill with the criminal amounts of money I lost to this game alone. This brought me back! Now, where's Power Drift?!

Brings back memories,  Every other day after highschool, right to the coney island arcade with my quarters. This game, afterburner, super hangon, space harrier, gauntlet, strider. dragonslair 2 and cobra command.

This was the game that got me into Outrun! My favorite car ever in real life too?? Thanks for the upload!
  • @richard1972r
Those are epic mechanics for changing new tires without even lifting the car! o_O
  • @malloryemclaren
Always get the hi-grip tires first. Then the more durable turbo. Then the engine.

Keep Your Heart, the best tune in this game. I would tear the highway apart if I could listen to it in my car.

One of my favorite games. Didn't realize until I was older as to how absurd it is. I can't help but laugh at the deserts of Atlanta every time. :)

I loved this game in the arcades in early '90s. It was the only original arcade in my town, the rest were some kind of bootlegs (the whole 'outfit' was the same, the owner changed just games, most of them had only 3 buttons, which caused games like Street Fighter a little more difficult than they should be - there was no copyrights in my country at the time, so they could do anything). Turbo OutRun had car-case with steering wheel, pedals, gear shift bar and was AWESOME! Thanks for the upload!
