HOA SHOULD NEVER BE ALLOWED TO PUT A LIEN ON SOMEONES HOME PERIOD!!

Buying a home in an HOA is basically hiring a bunch of Karens to harass you for every little thing. Sounds like a nightmare to me.
  • Shouldn’t be able to ban a vegetable garden ANYWHERE on a persons property

When someone else pays my mortgage, they can tell me what to do with my house. Until then, keep it to yourself.

I would rather live in a tent then buy a home in an HOA again...

The only law that needs to be passed for HOA, Is they all need to be closed.

You’re not a homeowner if an entity has all these powers to ultimately take your property. Scamerica!

Those who say they love HOAs in that survey are actually board members
  • Fuck HOAs I refuse to purchase a home in an HOA. Most Americans want more freedom not less.
  • I'm a Florida real eatate broker and can tell you with 1000% certainty that many HOAs are managed by criminals. Many aren't held to any financial accountability because homeowners DO NOTHING. If you're a homeowner and you're not getting or requesting an annual financial statement depicting where every penny goes, rest assured that the HOA treasurer is making out a lot better than your community's common areas. There's no one really managing the treasurer or accountant. The biggest robbery happens within the HOA and it goes 100% unnoticed. They need to fix THAT loophole.

HOAs are Horrible!, Absolutely Horrible!. And should not be allowed!
  • @Adromelk
HOA's should be entirely outlawed. Nothing but scams, imagine living in a home YOU bought and YOU paid for them being told what You CAN and CANNOT do with YOUR property. Preposterous
  • The problem with HOAs is you can go from a mild, reasonable HOA, to one full of Karens who will relentlessly fine any homeowner they don't like, eventually seizing their home. Am all for collaring them with new laws.

Also being able to charge money to live in a property you already own. It needs to be stopped and banned!

Controlled by residents that have no experience in anything
