If I heard Fantano's description of The Summoning before hearing the actual song, I'd imagine a song that sounds completely different to the actual Summoning song.

I like how nik can include his perspective and opinions so well without actually dissing fantano. He can take what fantano says and break it up into what he agrees with and wants to question but it’s respectable

I can't believe I agree with Fantano about something, but here we are. The over-processed 'peanut butter stuck to the roof of your mouth' vocals are the nail in the coffin for me.

The obvious reason which he held onto almost the very end is that he isn't into the vocals. If you don't like them, then you won't probably like any of their records since it's the main driving force

Been thinking of this review, and what I honestly need the most is a band combining Faith No More, Prince, and Meshugga.

I too hear Imagine Dragons specifically on Chokehold (and I do not like ID) but then I hear Tool in the beginning vocal section of The Summoning, then later in the album I hear Evernescencsece and even Sevendust on Apparition… and Vore is basically a love song to Deftones in almost every way. They are very much an amalgamation, and they do it very well and with their own twist - But it’s a great album (not without its dips) and it shows growth. I’m a fan.

I'm not an 'orthodox metalhead', but I really can't see how Sleep Token is considered a metal band. For me it's more like a group that can make metal and has a couple metal songs, almost like Poppy? Does that even make sense? lol

My fav is Aqua Regia. I also understand that the style blend, especially in this track isn't for everyone and that's fine. But for me it's the hidden gem I didn't know I needed.
