Every year the newer model will come out and will have better specs on paper, but that doesn't mean the phone before is suddenly inferior. Otherwise, you'll be upgrading every year for the rest of your life if you simply want bragging rights to the latest specs.

S23 Ultra is still a beast🔥

Even for $400, I can't see it. The 23 is a great phone, and the battery is still excellent. I'll wait for the 25.

I have both and honestly i prefer holding the s23 ultra better and its more comfy to hold with one hand. Also the s23 ultra display is more poppy

Great content. The s24 ultras anti glare is a coating, or is it baked into the glass🤔. Will putting on a glass screen protector affect the actual glare🤔

i think samsung should offer more for trade in for my s23 ultra, it's a 512 GB storage version.. which sells new for 1399, if they were offering closer to $1k for the s23 ultra, then i would upgrade, i don't think it's worth spending more than $100 or $200 to upgrade to the s24 ultra. plus there are some possible issues. i suspect the sd 8 gen 3 will run hotter, and may throttle more than the sd 8 gen 2. i do think the 10x optical sensor on the s23 will perform better at higher magnification than the new 5x. i do prefer a flat display, and i prefer the titanium build on the s24 ultra. but my s23 ultra is such an awesome device that has no major flaws, that it's a hard sell to trade it and pay more for such small improvements. upgrading from s22 was worth it because the sd 8 gen 1 had serious issues. i think i'll wait another year or two to see what the next ultras offer.. maybe until there's a user replaceable battery.. and a display that uses DC dimming instead of PWM. im really over the low frequency PWM on samsungs oleds.. even the s24 ultra is only 480HZ PWM, i can't use my phone for very long or it may give me headaches due to the PWM.

1:10 The battery life of S24U has improved only 1 to 2 hours over the S23U. This is not something fantastic.

Any comment about the dim, under saturated colors of the screen on the S24 ultra?

What are thoughts on the anti reflective screen impacting the vibrancy of the 24 Ultra. Colors don’t pop like on the 23 Ultra

I have the S23 Ultra and I am very satisfied. And now, as far as I can see, the S24 Ultra is ahead in only two things, and that is a slightly brighter screen and a slightly better battery.....someone normal would say, there is no need to update...... but something still pushes me to buy the S24 Ultra.
