Back in the day of my peak in gaming…my first platinum !!! I enjoyed the animated movies too…I hope they release a new movie series too
  • I actually like the fact they aged Isaac & Nicole. Still kinda funny that Isaac pretty much looks like Adam Sandler now.
  • Fun fact: there is a prequel animated movie called downfall that shows how the ship became infested with the necromorphs and who sent the message out

My Dead Space story: I was born 20 years before the Aegis 7 Incident when the USG Ishimura arrived to Aegis 7 for its' 35th mining operation. I was a shuttle engineer aboard the Ishimura, and my family served on the first and most famous planet cracker for most of the 60 years of the Ishimura's service. I served on the Ishimura for only a year before the Aegis 7 mining operation, but my mother and father served on the Ishimura for 20+ years longer than I have. My mother served aboard the Ishimura as a warrant officer of the planetcracker's security and mining operations, and my father worked as an mechanics engineer aboard the Ishimura like my father before him. I also had a girlfriend who was a botanist who worked in Hydroponics aboard the Ishimura. I've always loved to fly growing up, whereas my girlfriend always loved making sure everyone was well cared for during mining operations. I never was much of a miner myself however, so my job aboard the Ishimura was to make sure every shuttle aboard was ready to launch in case of an emergency. That day came when the ruination of the Ishimura happened in the Aegis 7 Incident. The Aegis 7 Incident was the most horrific mining operation that my and my girlfriend's family has never faced before in the Ishimura's history. The Aegis 7 Incident happened when the planetSide colony found an alien artifact on the planet that Unitologists called the Marker, like another one that was found on Earth 200 years earlier. I was not a Unitologist, however, and neither was my family or my girlfriend among the Ishimura's crew during its' final mining operation. My mother and father returned to duty aboard the Ishimura when the Aegis 7 Colony reported to the Church of Unitology that they've found the Marker on the planet. However, there was a spike of suicides and murders shortly after the discovery of the Red Market on Aegis 7 that lasted for an entire week before the Ishimura arrived for planet-cracking operations. I didn't think much of the Marker in my job aboard the Ishimura, but my first sign of trouble in Aegis 7 was when Captain Mathias issued a no-fly order between the planetside colony and the Ishimura. I did think the no-fly order was odd as to why, and so did my family and girlfriend in their jobs aboard the Ishimura like mine...Then came second sign of trouble when the Ishimura lost contact with the Aegis 7 colony during the planet-crack operation. Everything at Aegis 7 started falling apart after the Ishimura loaded the Marker in Cargo aboard the ship to deliver to the Church. My mother as the warrant officer of the Ishimura did warn Captain Mathias to delay the loading of the Marker, along with several other officers of the crew who did the same, including the Ishimura's security chief and Dr. Kyne of the ship's medical staff. All's objections were ignored however, and it became too late for any of Ishimura's crew to know what was really going on why Mathias ignored all objections to delay loading the Marker aboard the ship. Order aboard the Ishimura then began to break down when a shuttle from Aegis 7's colony crashed onto the Ishimura's Flight Deck, with Necromorphs aboard. Nearly everyone aboard the Ishimura was then dead within hours, either by the Necromorph outbreak or insanity and murder amongst the crew themselves who succumbed to dimensia that came with the Marker aboard the ship. I was aboard the Ishimura's Flight Deck when it was overrun first by the Necromorph outbreak. There I managed to hide and arm myself with a Plasma Cutter, where I quickly learned that body shots don't kill the Necromorphs on the ship...and worse some that I killed were people of the ship's crew who were horribly mutated into more of THEM. It was worse for my family members and my girlfriend aboard the Ishimura when the Necromorph out break killed most of the ship's crew. My mother was with Security Chief Vincent when the undead aliens overran the Medical Deck next after the Flight Deck. The Leviathan killed all but three survivors of the Ishimura's Hydroponics crew; one of them was my girlfriend, who armed herself with a Line Gun in how she learned that Necromorphs die by dismemberment, not by body shots. And of the Engineering crew who survived the Necromorph outbreak aboard the Ishimura, only two Engineering crews survived from that part of the ship, including my father. Most of the survivors of the Ishimura's crew in the Necromorph outbreak aboard the ship all went insane by the Marker, including even the Unitologists aboard the ship. My mother was the only survivor of Security after Chief Vincent and her team died, and she, like my father and girlfriend, lost contact with one another via RIG link after the Ishimura's communications were sabotaged by an insane Kyne after he accidentally killed Mathias on the Bridge. All of the other Unitologists aboard the Ishimura snapped after Mathius died, including Dr. Charles Mercer. This dimension-driven nightmare by the Marker led me and my loved ones aboard the Ishimura to not trust anyone or any hallucinations we saw as we tried to regroup with one another to find another way off the ship. Over half the ship's systems was sabotaged by Kyne though, by the time the Kellion's crew arrived to the Ishimura. Most of my group of survivors aboard the ship was dead by the time Isaac Clarke's crew boarded the Ishimura on a repair mission, not knowing the horrors aboard the ship by that time. I and my girlfriend were the only survivors left of our group of survivors when Isaac's crew of the USG Kellion landed on the Ishimura. With all of the shuttles wrecked or gone by that point, I and my girlfriend worked together to establish contact with the Kellion survivors to engineer our escape off the Ishimura instead, despite Hammond's objections of staying on his crew's mission. I had a stronger heart than my girlfriend during the ruination of the Ishimura, but neither me or her found Isaac's girlfriend when we finally managed to establish contact with the Kellion survivors via RIG link, which was hours after the Ishimura's communications blackout. When I and my girlfriend managed to establish contact with the Kellion survivors via RIG link, I was the second engineer next to Isaac who worked on finding a shuttle that could still fly off the Ishimura before Hammond did, while my girlfriend worked with Kendra for information regarding the truth why the Marker was on Aegis 7 to begin with. As I worked with Isaac to engineer an escape off the Ishimura, what my girlfriend found in her end discovered the truth of a government experiment on the Marker 200 years ago...and Kendra a spy who works for EarthGov that knows something about the Marker. My girlfriend then tried to warn me and Isaac about Kendra, who she then killed my girlfriend to keep her secret. Kendra then revealed her secret after she killed Kyne when we finally acquired a shuttle to escape the Ishimura with the Marker aboard to stop the Marker outbreak in Aegis 7. I became very angry at Kendra when I realized she killed my girlfriend to keep her from warning me and Isaac about her secret. I wanted closure for everyone who died on the Ishimura because greed and corruption by the government AND the Church of Unitology. So I worked together with Issac to stop the Marker out real at Aegis 7 by returning it to its pedestal on the planet, then destroying it with the orbiting tectonic load. I narrowly escaped Aegis 7 with Issac as the planet exploded, leaving nothing but dust of the Marker on Aegis 7. However, as I drifted in space, I too became insane as my mind was exposed to the Marker as I destroyed one Marker like Isaac would destroy two later. I was eventually picked up by a passing EarthGov frigate near Aegis 7, like Isaac. However, I was overcome with grief over the loss of my family and girlfriend aboard the Ishimura in the Aegis 7 Incident, who I began to suffer hallucinations of when EarthGov eventually found me with Isaac near Aegis 7. Then like Isaac, EarthGov tried to harvest my mind for the Market's secrets, which eventually drove me into commiting suicide to end the pain once and for all, with everyone I love dead and EarthGov used me like a lab experiment for the Marker's secrets with little regard for my well-being in the process, which I think is no better than Unitology. The End
  • The original was so good, crazy good. That was like Resident Evil but in outer space. Having said that, that game literally made sick, especially the parts where you have to traverse Zero-G areas.
