Today we elucidate the workings of the 20th Legion of the Adeptus Astartes: The Alpha Legion.

Known as the 'The Ghost Legion' during the Great Crusade, the Alpha Legion would garner a reputation as the least trustworthy of all the Adeptus Astartes.

Employing confusion, guile and misdirection as their weapons of choice; the 20th Legion would be infamous for their campaigns of espionage, trickery and subterfuge.

    I am omegon the other head of the hydra. . . . . . . . . .pin pls
  • If knowledge is power, then to be unknown is to be unconquerable. The Alpha Legion has always been a contender for my favorite legion.
  • Bro my fav characters for this legion are alpharius, alpharius and alpharius. My fav part was when alpharius helped alpharius beat an imposter alpharius who wasn't with the alpha legion and tried to stop alpharius helping alpharius beat the evil enemies of alpharius.
  • In the 31st Millennium a crack commando unit was declared traitor by the Imperium for a crime no one can say they committed. These men promptly escaped from imperial space to the eastern fringes. Today, still wanted by the Imperium, They survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, If no one else can help And if you can find them Maybe you can hire the Alpha Legion
  • Oh man, i remember when the Pluto battle first dropped, everyone lost their shit after that. All the Imperial Fist fanboys being like "hes dead hes dead hes dead", and all the Alpha fans being like "you must be new here."
  • @Wirrn
You know it occurs to me that, Imperial bureaucracy being what it is, there is no way the Alpha Legion HASN'T founded at least one, if not several successor chapters in plain sight. "Hi, we're Ultramarines successors number 4752." "We...don't have records of you" "You must have lost the paperwork. See our armour is blue." "....yea that seems legit. Hey why are you covered in scales though?" "Fuck you, it looks bitchin, thats why." "......fair point, well made."
  • From 2 minute shorts to 20 minutes of gold! Hail to the remembrancer
  • “Congratulations on your promotion.” “Sir?” “You are Alpharius now.”
  • @Khalith
The XX legion. The double cross legion indeed.
  • @jkee9760
Just imagine Cato Sicarius and an Alpha legionnaire getting into it. "It is I, Cato Sicarius!" "I've known all along Cato, as I Alpharius, knows better!" "I Cato Sicarius doubt that" "Clearly I, Alpharius knows more!"
  • The Raven Guard mastered shadows and hiding in the darkness. The Alpha Legion mastered hiding in somebody else's skin and in plain sight. The Night Haunters are dumb and wear flayed bits of still screaming people as they stumble in the dark making spooky noises.
  • It feels like The Emperor made Alpharion and Omegon specifically to counteract Tzeentch.
  • Before you realize it, we are there. Like gheists and shades that dog your every step we mirror you in exact ways, every move you make has been planned for and predicted. We are as many as we are duplicitous, for we are unseen, undetected, and unbreakable. Clint to your false hopes and faltering trust for soon, it may be your last. Hydra Dominatus
  • The Alpha Legion doing well with the Dark Angels, Iron Hands, and Luna Wolves is not surprising. They did also have success with the Blood Angels but it was strained as they didn't communicate any of their plan but the mission was a overall success
  • The Kabal were either Chaos agents or were afraid of humanity returning to complete dominance of the galaxy. They weren't acting on behalf of the "greater good".
  • I was always confused about what the cabal told alpharius. We know that they were wrong because Eldrad ended up having the rest of them killed and has stated in recent lore that the fates of the aeldari and humanity are a package deal for better or for worse. So I think that he was simply naïve back then, though this time its actually good writing and understandable. From the cabal's perspective it looked as if humanity was on its way out with the outbreak of the heresy, so Eldrad figured yeah they are probably toast, but lets see if we can get this key player to do what we want before the dust settles. It is also probable that eldrad saw a real vision of the future of 40K as we know it and came to those conclusions. He being a great far-seer and all but not omniscient I think this would make sense.

The book "Legion" is truly one of the best in the Heresy books I hate it didn't get a contiunation like several others did because I just love the Alpha Legion and its uses if regular humans to accomplish their goals.
  • I love the idea of nobody really knowing if the Alpha Legion are actually traitors or just deep cover Loyalists
