In this video we hiked Corte Madera and Los Pinos Mountains near Campo California. These are both fantastic hikes with a variety of plants, trees and terrain. The tops of both mountains offer fantastic views. I would rate them both as intermediate.

11 miles total with 2,400ft of elevation gain.

Adventure pass is needed to park at the trailhead.
Parking - 32.7402, -116.5635

These are getting better and better!!! That weather.... wonderful!!
  • Great video and views... Man the weather changed quick when you got up to Los Pinos... nice job!
  • Great Video. Corte Madera is such a beautiful hike, one of my favorites in San Diego. I've been up to the Los Pinos lookout tower twice (hiked once, drove once) both times there was a very friendly Forest Service Volunteer who invited us up in the tower (this was pre-COVID) and spent 20 minutes giving us a tour and explaining how they do their jobs. He would spend up to a week at a time in the tower.
