My god, to grow up as a child in the 70s I'm not sure any of us knew how good we had it. The music was just STELLAR.
-
Still love this song so much and have to sing along today in 2024. I miss the day of good music.
-
Still holds up today. Their voices are so awesome, pure talent. No crappy background show to distract you. Pure musicianship. Love these guys.

I grew up in the 1970’s. Songs were magical , and there was an innocence and excitement for the future. I feel so sad for the kids in these present times and generations who will never experience that pure joy

"I need a drink and a quick decision.." One of the best lines ever put in a song.
-
Boy this live performance sounds damn good. Hall and Oates don't have any bad songs.
-
WHEN US OLD SKOOLERS SAY THEY DON'T MAKE EM LIKE THIS ANYMORE,THIS ONE OF EM WE TALKING ABOUT RIGHT HERE.
-
I was 16 in 1976. What a magical time. The music coming out of the radio was a great soundtrack to be young to. Didn’t realize how lucky I was to live in such an innocent time when the future looked so bright.
-
The fact that 3 thousand people chose to dislike this great song is worrying for humanity.
-
Who’s still cranking up this song in 2021? Still great after all these years!
-
I can hardly listen to this without crying for my sister who died far too young at 37 . We both loved Daryl Hall and Oates and sat at the front row in all of their concerts so .. this song means a lot to me.

This takes me back to a time I didn't have a care in the world. Just wanted to ride my bike, play baseball, hang out with my friends and listen to the radio.
-
This live version is just so damn flawless. Never get tired of hearing it.
-
My folks grew up listening to Daryl Hall and John Oates. Then once I came around, they played their music throughout the day and I became hooked. Thanks mom and dad! 👍🏼
-
John Oates has an incredible voice!!!
-
The people that gave this a thumbs down are in denial and they think she's coming back.
-
This makes you realize what a great voice John Oates has

OMG look how young they are....Daryl Hall, bless him is in his 70's..as we are...still singing this in 2023 - in his show LIVE FROM DARYL'S HOUSE. 'everybody's high on consolation'...what a great, aching lyric...
